Ummmm... Frazier woulda just beat Peter's ass for the full fight. Maybe even getting a late KO. Sam Peter at his prime literally never moved his head. Frazier's head movement and the left hook borne from the rhythm of his head movement is what made that ****er special.
Anyone who actually picked Sam "who necks" Peters needs to stfu and leave this ****ing site right now, then go to the store and buy some rope and hang yourself, the world has enough morons to cope with
Yet he wasn't too big for Eddie Chambers, who, if he wasn't a fat ****, would weigh about 210lbs? This is Chambers at 223lbs: This content is protected Chambers was barely bigger than Frazier, who had a better chin, better stamina, more speed, more power and so on.
Frazier has NO problem DESTROYING big heavyweights. Buster Mathis was 250lbs - way bigger than Frazier, and Frazier physically overpowered the guy and KO'd him. Size work against Peter here for three reasons. First, his stamina isn't great and he would fade later, second he would never be able to keep up with Frazier's work rate, and third Frazier would be able to use his smaller stature to get in close and pummel Peter up close. I have no doubt that Peter could hurt Frazier if he caught him, but to suggest Frazier couldn't hurt Peter is ludicrous - he could, especially to the body which is mostly fat in Peter's case. Joe KO in 10 after being hurt or even put down early.
The 70s heavyweights are very overrated. I think Sam Peter would stop Joe Frazier with a rabbit punch.
this, maybe even earlier for joe, simply because joe's power punches would be landing on peter with more frequency than any fight peter has ever been in.
