Eubank will face the Central Area light middleweight champion Jason Ball in just his second fight on the Galahad-Booth undercard... :think
Not a bad opponent considering its Eubanks second fight but he's an MMA fighter who does boxing on the side I believe. 28 MMA bouts, only 10 Boxing Matches. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Ball_(martial_artist) http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=551316&cat=boxer
"Jason is revered in his gym for having an iron chin, with his only professional TKO loss coming by way of doctor stoppage due to a badly broken nose against Paul Jenkins." Wonder if Eubank will be able to crack his "iron chin". I also wonder if Eubank can do 154 for long, he was over 160 for his debut.
Sorry, I read what you put wrong, I read it as it was for The Central Area Title, not just that he is.
He was the lad that won that awful undercard bout the other week on Matthews undercard. Eubank should win inside distance, smart match making really cos the guys holding a title so people will assume it's a massive step up when it's not really although the lad will try to win and be better then 1st opponent.
i saw him on his debut at carl greaves show in doncaster, against a 18yr old mick smith,it was smiths 2nd. smith won. i also saw him win the central the other week on t.v he hasnt improved at all and i dont think hed beat eubanks jnr
Yup, he wont have any bother here. But as least it's got a story for the casuals. If they tune in, we'll continue to see boxing on Ch5 which can only be good.
And we've all seen much worse second opponents than this. Looks a good choice for the Eubank camp, particularly in light of the terrestrial TV audience.
