If Pac had destroyed Cotto at 154 i would say this is bad fight, but Floyd is fighting him at comfortable weight so it will be nice win, this could be nice fight for boxing fans.

 

Martinez is a career light middle, the weight he's fighting Cotto at. He only moved up to fight Pavlik because the opportunity of a big fight was there. Martinez can easily make 154. It's only 4 less pounds than he was in his last fight.

 

What a farce. This will be a landslide. Will be interesting to see if fans of Mayweather do what they say they would and boycott this "fight".

 

I believe Martinez made it clear that he's going to consider a catchweight for Mayweather or Pacquiao but he won't fight them at 154.

He said he'd go down to 150 :? So he'd obviously agree to a fight at 154, which is the weight Mayweather's next fight is at.

 

Because he's the middleweight champion of the world, he has a belt at that weight. He's called out lots of 154 fighters, including Cotto, who ducked him like Mayweather has.
