First of Floyd, for a fight that's expected to generate at least $200 million the $40 million you offered is only 20%. Do you really expect PAC to accept an 80-20 sharing? Clearly Floyd you have no intention of fighting PAC in the first place. You just used his name to create buzz in your next fight. "Step up punk. I'll fight you but I'll take 80% of the money". For the record how will it generate 200 million? And if it did you know cable takes half off top,right? So that 200 turns to 100. Now 40 mil out of 100mil is not bad. They had yet to even consider the back end.

This is simple "backdoor" public relations.

First, you make your move (decide to fight Cotto). Then, you give reasons why the fight everyone wanted to see happen (Pac-Floyd) didn't happen. It's not your fault, but the fault of the other guy, etc.

Standard stuff. And, of course, the information is given to a favored media outlet, so that you're not asked difficult questions about your claims.
