Mayweather coming forward, Cotto lands a nice jab. Leaping hook by Mayweather, duck and they both clinch. Cotto looking good, Boxing backwards. Lead right lands for Mayweather, but Cotto is outlanding him.

Now it's Mayweather who is fighting off his back foot. Another stiff jab, followed by a left hook upstairs by Mayweather. Cotto puts Mayweather on the ropes, but does not do damage and eats a counter right hand. A little rubber legged Cotto is, and he backs off to the center of the ring. They exchange and Mayweather partially blocks a left hook that gets his attention. Close round in favor of Money May.
