Im saying pbf will be. Cotto is great at 154. Looks super in his fight with margo.

Cotto is at his best right now.

    Thoughts??

I think Cotto is at his best right now. Coming off 3 good wins, after avenging one of his only 2 losses, and fighting at a comfortable weight of 154, as opposed to a full 9 pounds lower down at 145. Pac had to weight drain Cotto because he was scared of facing him at full power. Floyd will do no such thing so this will be the better version of Cotto, and possibly the best version we've seen.

Mayweather will, like he fought all the better versions of common oppenets because hes the best. Cotto looks great at 154 and has had time since the bricks did him in. this makes pac look like a fool once again

Cotto was at 147 when PAC fought him so it was 2lbs don't twist ****. I don't care which version is better it is all just a bull**** bargaining tool in the pac roid v void negotiations. Both should grow a pair and fight

Pac fought a better version, Cotto has yet to beat the best at 154, beating a one legged "champ" dose not make him #1 at that weight. :rofl

Mayorga was way past his best

the more natural weight coupled with the conquering of his margarito demons will produce a better version of cotto for mayweather

Floyd vs. 154 Cotto in 2012 is better than Pac vs. 145 Cotto in 2009.

Cotto that Floyd will face is further removed from defeat than when he faced Pac.

    :deal

Let's not forget that in 2012 Pac wanted Cotto to come down in weight while Mayweather steps up in weight like a man.

Anyone that has ever had to cut weight would never say that 2lbs don't matter. Not only does cutting past your comfort zone affect you physically but it throws your whole mindset off.

If draining fighters wasn't a factor team pac wouldn't have said they wouldn't fight cotto if he weighed in at 147.

This thread is one of the reasons i stopped coming to ESB boxing forum, damn why does everything has to be a pac vs floyd thing. Every single detail gets scrutinize and compared to either pac or floyd. Front page is filled with threads about floyd or pac and this announcement. There is more to boxing than just floyd and pac.

Cotto vs floyd is a good fight lets face it cotto is not the same since his first margarito fight but he still is a world class boxer. So this is a good test for floyd to show he still is one of the best p4p. Neither pac nor floyd would be facing the best cotto because he hasnt been his best since margacheato ruined him with his plasters. But having said that he's a good boxer puncher that can still give any fighter problems including floyd and a rematch with pac.

    :hat
