Victor Ortiz was getting in his ass @ the end of the 4th round!! Seriously.. LMAO. Man, I think a shot Cotto might give Floyd problems! Floyd is Over-Rated!

His legs aren't the same. His speed and sharpness has dropped off also, but he's gotten physically stronger and gained more experience. Definitely not as effective a fighter as he was when he was younger.

i made this thread because haters claimed hes cherry picked cotto they feel that cotto is washed up(at 31 yrs. old) but somehow think mayweather(at 35 yrs. old) isnt past his prime. in reality, all they are doing is aknowledging the fact that Floyd is no doubt an ATG and will whoop pretty much any fighter in boxing. Floyd is the next Hopkins and he will dominate for a long time. admit it *******s, floyd is one of the greatest to ever lace them up :yep

yeah, we'll have to see. he's stated before how much he values his health and his face and such, but others have said the same thing and retired spark out on the canvas, or even continued on after that, so who knows?

Of course he isn't as fast as he used to be. The older you're getting, the more you're declining physically. At the end of the day, Floyd still has his fundamental techniques and ring IQ to still compete at a high level against anyone at 140-154.

Floyd should retire after 2 or 3 more fights IMO.

2 or 3 big fights, one of which is hopefully Pacquaio and then get out close to as healthy as you was when you came in.

i think he could if he wanted to and still dominate but might lose once or twice BUT he wont, hes made pleanty of money and when he beats pac he will have nothing else to prove. im pretty sure in the future young up and coming champs will try to call him out of retirement tho, so who knows?

He should beat every boxer at 147 and 154 around today. Is he as athletic as he was 10 years ago? No, but he's still better than anyone around.

Floyd hasn't declined yet and he's not past him prime either.

He still has faster hand speed than a younger fighter like Timothy Bradley. Floyd's timing is one of his best asset more so than his hand speed.
