Miguel Cotto was a very good win for Manny Pacquaio.

The 145lb catchweight does taint the win. I won't say Cotto was weight drained because he was not. The point of the catchweight was that Miguel had to train for the weight rather than for Pacquaio. (Add to this Joe Santiago and you have a nightmare waiting to happen) Pacquaio fights DLH at 147lb, and Clottey at 147lb, but Miguel must come down to 145lb. Do you see why Cotto might find this dodgy? Do you see why fans might find this dodgy?

Pacquaio beats Cotto at 145lbs or 147lbs, IMO because style wise he's all wrong for Cotto, but the weight does taint the victory slightly.

Sure, if you'd like I guess. :huh But at least cut the attempts at flattery. I really don't care for an unoriginal loser to kiss my ass on an internet message board. Save that for the floyd fanboys. :thumbsup

alright, imma keep it 100 with u. i dont speak for all floyd fans but me personally, i always seen Cotto as his best win at welter. but Cotto obviously wasnt happy having to bend to pacs will for his own title and thats the main reason Pac Vs. Cotto II isnt happening. do i think pac would have beat him either way? yes i do.

This would under any other circumstances be considered a great fight (although overdue). But, fans are pissed off because we did not get the fight we wanted. And that is understandable. Floyd is partly to blame for that. Pac vs Bradley is a good fight too (assuming that's the chosen opponent). But, for the said reasons, that fight will be criticized as well (with Pac carrying his share of the blame).

These are fights I'm willing to watch (and to some extent look forward to watching...not buying necessarily). But, they are, in a way, letdowns, because, it seemed we were finally close to getting the fight we all want. So, reasonable criticism and resistance is understanable, IMO. People will get more excited as the fights draw nearer though.

    So sunnn and axelrose.
    That's it?
"People are jizzing over Pac-Cotto 2" is now justified?

    You MAD my friend.:yep

That's nowhere near the absolute lack of Floyd fanboys giving Pac credit for his win over Cotto, and yet here you are, suddenly saying that Cotto-Mayweather is a good idea?

Seriously man, help me out here, I'm puking my brains out trying to find a justifiable reason for you.
You can't say Cotto was shot when he fought Pac and suddenly claim Mayweather-Cotto is a brilliant idea.
Is that too difficult for you to grasp?

I always said that as well, that it was such a ***** move for them to fight Cotto at 145 when they clearly could've done the same at 147.

I never really considered Cotto damaged goods, definitely not peak, that's why I still think this is an OK fight for May.
Not on the level of Sergio or Pac, but still, this ought to be better than Ortiz.

    Keepin it real.:good

Between Pac-Cotto 2 and May-Cotto however, although I think May will totally outclass Cotto as well, I prefer this fight since, well, we haven't seen it before and I'd like Mayweather to showcase his aggressive style even more. Such a beauty to watch really.

Hey, my friend, I'm a HUGE Cotto fan, and honestly he really hasn't defeated anyone worthy since his loss to Marg AND wasnt to impressed with him and manny stu, BUT! HE LOOKED SPECTACULAR AGAINST MARG, I like his new trainer, and yeah he was taking punishment in the final rounds but at the rate that marg was coming and eating his shots imo he is a handful for anyone and WILL test and crack your stamina. He looked big and strong against Marg and like a true JRMW
