the turn in events is that JMM beat PAC in Nov and then Pac backed down to a fight with Floyd so Cotto gets a chance

Why doesn't Alvarez get credit for defeating Ryan Rhodes at 154?

coz foreman hits like a girl and he's badly injured when he fought him. he wnt down not because he was hurt but because he had knee problems

Foreman wasn't a paper titlist, he didn't win a vacant belt.

Cotto was not the betting underdog. Foreman was the underdog. I thought Cotto would struggle at 154, but Wolak showed Foreman has nothing and the Santos win didn't mean as much as people thought.

I don't understand on what planet you guys think Foreman was the favorite against Cotto. It never happened.

people shouldn't spout off random bull****... even if that seems the norm on esb these days

Hence I say, that 'injury' is just a way to discredit the win...he had the same brace when he won the title 4rm Santos with NO problems

The knee was his way out, he managed to save face and look like a brave warrior by pushing through with his "injury". More ammo for the Cotto haters.

No way was feather-fisted one-legged Yuri Foreman the favourite. It really isn't that good a win for Cotto. In his next fight Foreman quit after five rounds getting bashed up by Pawel Wolak. He got a name for himself because Arum thought the Rabbi-in-training angle would sell.

I suppose technically not, but he did beat Santos for it who was completely dominated by Dzinderuk. What happened to Dzinderuk anyway?

We should also remember Manny Pacquiao shamelessly ducked Foreman just before that fight.

I Thought Cotto would win, but not as easy as he did, the injury must be taken into account, takes away from Cotto's win. Regardless if he won the tittle with the brace, Santos was on his way out, far from prime. Foreman just never did anything special before or after fighting Cotto, he was not the best at 154, was he even top 3?
