The guy ducked Yuri Foreman for ****s sake so why would he fight Cotto at 154? (or 150 for that matter) Pacquiao has no confidence left in him after the brutal mind **** JMM performed on him (again) and if Cotto was still fighting at 147 you can bet Pacquiao would have tried to get him down to 144.

Manny Pacquiao is a former flyweight at welter, why should he fight at 154?
You should see this as floyd fighting at 168 and people whining why he doesnt go to 175.
Its sad that it will take 10+ years for some to figure out what has been done and appreciate it.
Im happy he rejected it though, I like floyd vs cotto better than pac vs cotto 2.

*****'s - pac would destroy cotto at anyweight, I got heavily criticised when I said Cotto vs Pac @ 154 is a good fight

When Floyd vs Cotto announced, Pac is avoiding Cotto, Cotto was shot before now he's better than ever.

*****'s and *******s need to get their fighters dick out of their mouths.

Pacman only has some good wins. Hatton and margo. 154 title part was BS but it pounded a way bigger man. Oscar clottey mosley cotto. Arent amazing. Old or weight drained and clottey was there for a payday.

If jr ever goes to 160, *******s will cry his to big now.

At the time of the Cotto fight I knew the decision to make it at 145lbs just to gain a little advantage would come back to haunt Pacquiao esepcially since he had his fight with DLH@147 then Clottey@147 then Margarito@150 but for Cotto he couldn't do 147 he had to get him down to 145 and then when the rematch was talked about knowing full well Cotto was fighting at 154lbs he wanted to get him down to 147 and was unwilling to accept the 150 Cotto was offering (something Pac offered Margarito)

Then let's not forget the Mosley fight, when Mosley was desperate to land an opponent after having been out for a while since his win over Margarito he offered to go down to 145 to get the fight but Roach instead asked him if he could make 142lbs but after Mayweather stepped up and took the Mosley fight at 147 and after Mosley had just fought to a draw at 154lbs against Sergio Mora suddenly 147lbs became an acceptable weight and Pacquiao Mosley was finally a go.

Also if he's willing to collect vacant belts for the JMW championship of the world he should be willing to fight in the weight class he won the title at.

I always felt it was like this, pac made the jump for oscar for money right, everyone thought he would lose get paid and move back to 135, yet he looked amazing and retired oscar, they then move backed to hatton because 147 was still to big and he weighed in around 140, he then sparked hatton out.
At that point he becomes the number 1 140 guy, you dont expect him to move back to 135, mosley shows up saying fight me? they didnt want nothing to do with it at that point, why? mosley is a big dude, strong welter pac was still seen as a small and it was unkown if dlh was a fluke or if he could actually handle welter, they chose cotto over mosley.
Its not that bad of course but miguel was also a good strong welter but he is a toprank boxer so arum wins regardless of who wins the fight.
They should have fought at 147 imo, eventhough it wouldnt have made a difference in how things turned out.
To me at the time it felt like the top 140 guy fighting one of the top 147 guys at welter.
because of floyd he stayed at 147, once they couldnt get it made we got stuck with inhouse fights, vs cotto he proved he could handle welter so he fought clottey at 147.
Margarito 150 was oki imo except that marg didnt deserve **** after what he did, and also it should never been for a title, thats why I consider pac a 7 division champ rather than 8, but also a similair strategy as to the cotto fight by testing the waters first vs margarito, pac couldnt bulk up more and was in serious pain after the fight so decided to never fight at the weight again.
Thats fine and all but thenhe should stick to welters and upcoming guys, miguel is at 154 so he shouldnt have been an option if he didnt wnat to move up.
Mosley was a true cherrypick by the way, never liked that fight.
At the time felt it should have been berto or jmm.
Mosley was a true cherrypick and I never liked the fight

nonsense, floyd gets plenty of credit if he convincingly beats Cotto, it would definitely be in his top 5 wins.
