pacquiao offered a 50/50 split or 55/45 to the winner and was ok with the may date.

floyd rejected it and offered a $40M guarantee, take it or leave it and fights cotto.

Duckiao getting paid $7m fighting the TR stable and ODLH, turns down a cold $40m to fight and please the world and his paying customers.

"I'll take less than 50 percent to give the world what they want to see"

    I guess not :rofl

i think its the fact that every % manny doesn't get, floyd does.

So its ok saying I'll take 40 mill, But that could mean floyd would get 70mill.

These are proud men, theres not a chance he'd allow that. Especially when the whole boxing world seems to agree 50/50 is fair.

Floyd never backed down on his word regarding Manny, he always said "I can't take 50pct, but what I can do is give you the biggest purse of your entire career"

Making $7m fighting DLH/Cotto and so on, making $40m fighting Floyd.

Sounds like a good bargain to me.

just cos you'd say you'll take abit less, you'll agree to a $40 mill flat amount.

meaning floyd could earn $60-70 mill.

Floyd gave him that offer, with no room to negotiate. Do you honestly think thats fair?

50/50 was never an issue during the first negotiations and it was ok with floyd's camp.

also pac outsold floyd last year. if you think $40M is too generous from floyd, what can you say about the $45M guarantee counter-offered by arum?

Yes but let say we're looking at splitting 120 million which is possible.

40 mill to Pac, 80 mill to floyd.

Why would they accept that, when 50/50 is more than fair.

Why wouldn't floyd negotiate beyond that?

I'd vote both if it were an option. As it stands I can't pick one over the other this round.

If Floyd really wanted the fight he would have taken 50/50.

If Pac really wanted the fight he would have taken 45/55.

I don't think pac was offered as high as 45% from floyds side this time around.

90% Floyd's fault imo. 50 50 was fair. Pac shouldn't have declared he'll take less earlier, but that's not very significant.
