He wasn't. You guys are hillarious. It was for the 147lb title. Cotto had not moved up to 154 yet and weighed in at 146 for his previous fight. He's actually rather small for 154 compared to guys like Angulo and Kirkland.

He is not top 10 p4p. Top 5 at 154. Either way Pac and Arum forced Mayweather's hand.

When you beat your rival that some says has damaged you then you get huge confidence plus that he is in a very comfortable weight right now

I've always stated that Cotto is overrated and Pacquiao would have deconstructed Cotto's face regardless and Mayweather will do the same. I predicted Pac would KO Cotto in 5 rounds when the fight was made.

However it shows how wily Manny's team is that they couldnt fight their opponents at their preferred weight.

There is plenty of "leftovers", "damaged goods", "weight drained" crap on both sides to go around for years.

Personally as a non fan, I really like this fight for Floyd. Especially at 154. I think it's a decent challenge for him and I think Cotto is underestimated far too often. Styles make fights and I think Cotto at a comfortable weight and coming off some wins is good enough at both boxing and pressure to really test how impeccable Floyd really is.

Yeah. Pac dragging Cotto to 145 from the 146 he came in against Clottey 6 months prior is the reason he lost.

Cotto is the best option available. All this other talk is a pissing contest.

You;ve said this everal times now. What does best option mean anyway? You said Cotto's shot in the other thread. Or at the least alluded to it.

Is Cotto the best option simply because he's the most well known and can then help make Floyd the most money? :huh

    JUst to remind.
