Floyd is fighting Pacquiao's leftover obviously, but it's still a good fight.

    Pacquiao won 10 out of the 11 completed rounds by my card (drawing the other), and stopped Cotto. You don't get much more dominant or impressive than that. And this was Cotto weighing in only 1 pound less than in his previous fight vs Joshua Clottey, so anyone suggesting that weight was an issue in this fight is having a laugh.

    Now Floyd is fighting Cotto.

    Ordinarily, I'd think this is a pathetic example of fighting a rival's leftovers (like I thought when my man Manny fought Shane Mosley, still the only opponent-selection I hold against Team Pac, that was a shitty choice and a bad fight).

    But all in all, I think this is a good fight and I'm quite excited about it. For me, Cotto is a more accomplished fighter than the overrated Canelo, and the fight being at 154 makes it a little more interesting as well. Not much more interesting, because Cotto is a small lmw and Floyd has already fought a 154lbs opponent before, but still, 154lbs is more out of Floyd's comfort zone than 147lbs is, so it does add a little intrigue I suppose.

    Ultimately, I don't believe Cotto can beat Floyd. He is too easy to hit, he won't be able to deal with Floyd's handspeed. But Cotto's jab is good, and he picks his combinations so well when he has his opponent backed up that he could land where the wild swings of Ortiz hit fresh air.

    So as I say, looking forward to a good fight, nice wee test for the Pretty Boy hopefully.

    Floyd wins in a dominating Shut Out. Cotto has no chance. Cotto doesnt have a right hand and the left hook doesnt work against the shoulder roll. If a 5'10 160lb Oscar couldnt find his left hook against Mayweather, then a 5'6 67 inch reach Cotto who has no right hand isnt going to find it.

    Floyd puts on his most dominating performance since he dominated Pacquiao's Daddy Marquez.

    I don't take too much notice of this left-over nonsense. Cotto, despite not being the same fighter he once was, is still a decent opponent. I expect Floyd to more or less shut him out. It'll be an easier version of the Oscar fight.

    I hate to say it as much as i like Cotto, but I think he's gonna get shut out, Cotto does have a good stiff jab, but i think Floyds right over the top will more or less nullify it.

    Who was supposed to fight Oscar that time? It was floyd who ducked the rematch and instead go on vacation tactics. So oscar looked for another opponent and it was pac.:patsch

    If you have two rivals and one chooses to fight a guy that the other has already dominated/destroyed, I take it as fighting leftovers. Pac fought Floyd's leftover when he went in with Mosley IMO, as Mosley hadn't even been competitive with Floyd really, so it was a pretty pointless fight.

    Another person calling Cotto Pacquiao's leftovers. Care to explain to me what were Hatton, DLH, Mosley and Marquez(before third fight) when Pacquiao fought them?
