Leonard ellerbe when asked about the fight and weight always said that it was a welterweight fight

"Couldn't" is the wrong term. Floyd is a total gym rat and in complete control of his fitness and weight.

"Wouldn't" is the right term. Floyd is a total ******* who only takes fights in which he has significant advantages. Apparently fighting a lightweight wasn't enough in this case.

Mayweather requested it during that week. JMM didn't sign off on it right away.

Exactly. He already had a HUGE advantage fighting a LW, but he decides to **** him on the scale as well.

Not many people are aware, but apparently JMM's team had a binding order to not mention the weight they were meeting until the day of the fight, hence it only being called a WW title fight thoughout the entire promotion. Even Schaefer would dancve around that in some interviews.

    I know it is man.

When JMM-Mayweather was signed. It was signed at 144. Commission and fighter penalties.

Then Mayweather requested it to be changed to changed to 147 only fighter penalties if he came in over 144.

I dont think they would of been a difference either way.

If you look through Floyds career, he's cut less and less weight as he's moved up.

I truly think he doesn't like to cut.

Because with it still not being signed... if he didn't get it done he would of either had to cut or pay a commission fine.

Not that if matters either way. He wanted it changed, JMM signed off on it.

He said that because it the weight agreement was mentioned, that would only drudge up more questions, like "So why are you fighting a LW FFS..."

And the phony tag line, "P4P#1 vs. P4P#2" **** that you probably bought and swollowed whole. :patsch
