Warm up fight. Although Pac losing (IMO) to Marquez at WW makes it a bit more impressive than just a warm up.
He could have had it ammended and submitted ANYTIME before the weigh in, not rushing to get JMM's approval that morning and to the commision. No **** sherlock, that's not the point anyway.
I can see why you think it was. But I dont because the outcome of the fight wouldn't of changed. All it did was save Floyd money.
 It's called a tune up BTW. And no, a legit and established WW beating a blown up LW is still not impressive. I guess it is to posters like you.
Shut the **** up hoe. Marquez could have refused the money and made Floyd cut the extra 2 pounds. The weight wasn't even a factor in the fight and Floyd didn't even impose his weight on Marquez either. Take your meth head ass on somewhere and get a ****ing life. You argue on here as if you are getting paid for it. Grow up you hating ass Bobtard. ****ing fanboysatsch
Tune up. Warm up. Same god damn thing, it's used in boxing. All I said was it made his win a bit more impressive than just a "tune up" BTW - Heres the term warm up fight used. http://www.boxingnews24.com/2011/10/khan-targeting-matthew-hatton-as-warm-up-fight-at-welterweight/ http://www.rockthemvp.com/fighting-...ight-that-could-potentially-derail-his-career http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sport/boxing/askin_champing_at_bit_before_warm_up_fight_1_4203224
Doesn't like to = "wouldn't." Physically unable to = "couldn't." Floyd just didn't make the effort. I don't think there's anything the gym that guy can't accomplish; he could have cut 3-4 pounds. Even his biggest haters should appreciate his preparation.
I guess I can concede to that. But then you have fighters like Martinez, Donaire, and to an extent Ward who are now being picky about whom they fight. Like it or not cherry-picking has become a norm or an incurable disease. I suppose you can either accept it or abandon boxing and watch a different sport. There is a bright side to it though. If a boxer is going to cherry-pick, his opponent should at least be a top fighter in his division. Cotto and Bradley fit the bill.
I love boxing and speak with my dollars. Mayweather vs. JMM was a farce so I didn't buy it. Same with Pac vs. Clottey, Margo, and Mosely. Occassionally, a stong undercard will pursuade me to pick up less than competitive main event fights. On the other hand, I go out of my way to support good matchups and attend several fights cards per year. Our dollars speak much louder than our thread posts.
Do I think it mattered? No. But obviously it mattered to Pac and team if it was just one lb. Also, factor in that, Pac fought Barrera, cut 14lbs. Fought JMM next, cut 15lbs and *******s say he was drained.
