Why and how? Pavlik even at his best had problems with movers. Sergio is a mover who has been working on his power lately. I actually think Sergio stops him this time around. Pavlik is just too open and Sergios power seems to have finally been brought up in weight. DOnt forget that was Sergios first fight at MW. Ever since then he has stopped everyone at that weight.

Sergio outboxes Pavlik again and possible chance of a stoppage.

i thought pavlik showed some new skills in his last fight against the kid from texas. i saw defense and counterpunching that i didn't think he was capable of. teaming up with robert garcia is a good thing and i'm sure he'll add even more. i'd welcome the rematch after kelly gets a couple of good wins under his belt with the new trainer in his corner. they still need to gel.

I would love to see this fight again! Someone getting schooled, battered then hopefully KO'd is a delight to watch.

Some of you missed rounds 4-8 obviously. In shape and in focus Kelly would do better. Sergio wouldn't go up 4 pounds to face him in a rematch for a reason but started calling out WW instead ffs.

He's not the only one - I'd like to see it as well.

Garcia's banking on Kelly making 160 again though - not sure if that's happening again for Pavlik.

Rustbelt - why are you so confident? Pavlik didn't land anything heavy in the first fight including the flash knockdown (yeah, I know about the prep problems / Rehab during camp). I'd have to think Pavlik would have to add some new tools to his kit with Garcia for that to happen - so it's too early to make a call on that in my opinion, mate.

I agree with Hermit. Come on guys you act as if Sergio Martinez took Pavlik to school for 12 rounds. Pavlik was ahead after a good distance, it only officially went to **** when his forehead opened up.

The Barker-Martinez fight shows that Martinez still gets tagged, a fit, confident Pavlik causes him problems. Throw in good guidance from the corner which can't do any harm.

I'd look forward to it if the match was made.

You also don't have 4 rounds of Kelly figuring out Martinez in a rematch.

Always have been confident when it comes to Kelly in a boxing Ring! Maybe its because i followed him so long and ive seen how he has adjusted from a 20-0 fighter to now.

Garcia is a proven trainer. He is only gonna add to Pavlik, not take anything away thaat got him this far! a 100% focused Pavlik is a Mother****er for Anybody.

Good man, I like that you've never given up on your fighter - too rare amongst fans these days.

I agree that Garcia can add to Pav's arsenal, I guess the question is how much. Pav's not had what most people would call a good win for coming up 4 years now (although the Rubio beatdown could be looked at in a new light I guess, especially if he wins this weekend). It's a wait and see for now for me, although I do wish him the best.

Cheers for the daily Pav updates, by the way!

Pavlik has to earn his right to fight martinez again, if he shows improvement and beats some decent competition i woudnt mind to see him again against maravilla. But i seriously doubt Garcia can work miracles with Pavlik,Rios hasnt been able to change Rios who gets hit with everything coming his way.How will he change Pavlik?

pavlik's a warrior and if pavlik intends to fight at middleweight, I dont see why a rejuvenated pavlik wouldnt look to fight martinez again. he probably doesnt feel like he wasn't at his best in that fight. I find it interesting that Kelly was so confident that he would knock out carl froch.
