fans period, are quick to dismiss a fighter as shot after a loss, or two or a few, but too many times have fighters taken devastating losses only to again rose to the top. cotto was never shot, in all honestly all he needed was to tweak some things, namely his weight class, his trainer and his mind.

pac asked for the catchweight of 145 because it's basically his first REAL welterweight fight. This was his first real test of the weight since DLH didn't do any damage to him. It was fair IMO since cotto's last fight he weigh 146. People ask too much when it comes to PAC. They always forget that he was a former 112lb champ.

Meanwhile, guys like chavez sr, leonard, whitaker, dlh, etc. they all had a catchweight fights in their careers. but they don't get bashed for it considering that they didn't come as low in weight as PAC.

Have you not receive the memo?

Any fighter Gay Tweetyweather fights is a prime fighter and any fighter he did not fight is a bum.

So saying no to Pac makes a fighter un-shot in your eyes? :rofl:rofl:rofl

I'm a Mayweather fan and my opinion of Cotto hasn't changed. Cotto is shot. Floyd is about to run through him easy.

No, Maybe not "un-shot"....but it does show that he has the mental ability to know when someone is ****ING HIM UP THE ASS. That why he said the two most beautiful words to Arum and Team Pacquiao:

    ****-OFF!!!

Floyd is the best and Pacquiao is the lousiest fighter of all time. Pac fights leftovers, old, and drained fighters but he has to be tested first.

    That's "floydiot-logic" for you.

    :good

Threads like this are pretty **** to be honest.

Which poster's in particular have flip flopped?

As far as i'm concerned, the vast majority of boxing fans count cotto as one of pac's greatest victories, it's probably his showcase performance throughout his career in all reality.

The vast majority of boxing fans see cotto as the top lmw in the world today and so are happy that floyd is fighting the top lmw, at lmw.

So yes this can be a great victory for both pac and floyd (just as hatton was).

In bygone days people would lose to a top man, rack up a few victories and be ready for another title shot. It's the way things work in boxing, staying unbeaten is a choice that 99% of boxers could easily make by retiring at the correct time. Fighting the best and being successful is what separates the greats from the rest.
