Although i do think PBF will edge out a possible decision, i am surprised at the number of people who say that PBF will run over Cotto and Knock Him out..?

    Based on what exactly?

Please don't use henry bruceles... oh lord

Please don't use Victory Ortiz who come on people he wanted out of that fight, that boy isn't mentally stable...

Yes PBF is a good fighter and i give him 200% for taking this fight at 154 but no way he is knocking Cotto out and this will be a competitive fight....

Yes PBF is a great fighter but hyping him up as if he is Godzilla is also taking things to another level....

Sure Cotto isn't the same fighter he once was but neither is Mayweather is now now much slower and if forced to fight toe to toe more often (Which i like and i think suits him better btw)

So just enjoy the mega fight on May 5th! We don't get these too often and stop undermining fighters like Cotto & Mayweather, give them both credit... undermining both is ignorant at this point in time

He isn't a massive puncher but he breaks opponents down. Hatton got ko'd after been broken down, Gatti would have done, Ortiz was getting broke down and mentally folded, Judah probably would have if he didn't low blow, Mitchell got stopped, Corrales and Chavez got broken down and stopped. Baldomir, DLH and Mosley all had iron jaws, Cotto does not

People are gona be suprised how competetive it is.

After 6 rounds cotto will be winning the fight IMO.

Then one of 2 things will happen. The more likely scenario is Floyd starts to find wholes and land with more consistency, Cotto tires and mayweather doesn't. Mayweather closes stron and wins a convincing UD.

Or, lesslikely but in winning more of the rounds in the 1st haf of the fight, Cotto has aso worn down Floyd with his body attacks, and Mayweather is the one that has slowed and looks more fatigued. Leading to either a KO win for Cotto, or a UD win with Mayweather spoiling his way to the scorecards and avoiding been KO'd.

I agree Mayweather is the favourite. But it will be more comeptetive than people think.

he fights guys that don't get KO'd. Recently especially. The one guy who ended up being KO'd badly was Hatton, who he also KO'd nicely, and one guy who had been stopped was Ortiz, by a monster puncher, and Mayweather dropped him with a one-two, looking or not.

He forced the other guys throughout his career to quit. Look at: Genaro, Chavez, Gatti. Also, the Corrales drops were nice. I know we're a long way from 130, but if you're talking about "When did PBF become this ultimate knockout beast?" then my answer would be that he was never that far off from that. Not a "knockout" beast, but a stoppage beast. There, you have it. Mayweather is a stoppage beast.

Floyd's amazingly accurate, and throws more punches now he's adapting to age, he leads more often than he counters. Cotto gets more bad marks than Gander Tasco in an IQ test, so he'll get stopped.

gatti was just going to get pummelled for 12
Hatton ran in face first and got hit with clean power punches for 8 rounds, he had no defence and a smaller man
No evidence ortiz was physically breaking down, mentally ortiz get broken down in a game of tic tac toe
Judah might have mentally folded but thats due to his heart, physically didn't look weakened
Apart from cotto hasn't been dropped 147 or over (plaster hands doesn't count)
not saying floyd can't KO cotto, Cotto ain't what he used to be, am picking Floyd Mayweather by points around 116-112 margin

He trained for the knock out in the ortiz fight, you can clearly see it in his facial expressions loading up those right hands, if they fight with 8oz punchers gloves it's very posible he tkos cotto or the other way around.

Kell Brook has a higher KO ratio than Mayweather, does that make him a 'stoppage beast' too?

He seems to have adopted more of a 'walking-down' approach now, as oppose to the ultra defensive, retreating style he showed prior to his first retirement. He's also become a slightly harder puncher now that he stands his ground and sits down on them when throwing.

So, considering Cotto's slow movement and leaky defensive, it's not that crazy to think Mayweather will disect him, hurt him later on, and come close to finishing him. It's also important to note that Cotto's aversion to taking punches is still firmly there, and has of course worsened after the beatings he's taken from Margarito and Pac.

But with that said, he [Cotto] has mainly shown the tendency to fold only against aggressive, in-your-face punchers with a reasonably high workrate. Even then, he done incredibly well to last as long as he did. So, the thought of Floyd tagging him with pot-shots (however accurate they are), may not be that much a of a daunting prospect for him.

And Clottey, people under-rate the punishment he took in that grueling fight.

Have you ever boxed before, if you're not looking a punch would **** you up, the same punch that wouldn't even stun when you are looking - everyone whose boxed knows this. 'by a monster puncher, and Mayweather dropped him with a one-two, looking or not' - no offence but thats a retarted comment
