Joe didn't say that, just thought the nature of the excuse to dismiss such a fight was ridiculous. Especially since Ward said, months beforehand, that the S6 champ should fight the guy for the clear #1 status.

If Ward does not face Bute within the next 12 months, chances are the fight will happen at LHW.

What a shame that would be, considering the main excuse was 'This top 3 SMW who wasn't in the S6 needs to qualify to get a shot'.

Those who say Ward wouldn't get credit for beating this version of Bute, should also say Bute wouldn't get credit for beating this version of Andre Dirrell. The justification is the same.

Or, how about letting the bum prove himself by applying to Showtimes demands and proving his worth in the US? Ward is injured, he's gonna be out for a few months either way you slice it.

Ofcourse, he's ducking Dirrell like the plague.

Who would give him credit for beating a hype job which is what Bute would be called if Ward waxed him. I have seen it happen too many time as I gave an example earlier.

I never said Ward had a better option, in fact I said that Bute was right about who eles would he fight. My point is simple for any that dont have thier lips wrapped firmly around Bute ball sack. 1)No one outside of them thinks that Ward needs to fight Bute next, I mean **** it was a matter of hours after the S6 ended and Bute fans were already screaming that Ward was ducking him. Its worst then any move that *******s have pulled around here. 2)To add to the luster of the fight on Wards side it would be great if Bute had a marquee name on his resume.

Sure Bute wants the fight, he has everything to gain, but honestly whats in this fight for Ward? Truth is he would get more credit from mainstream by fighting and beating Martinez then he would for Bute. Not to mention $$$. A fight with Bute offers a pretty good gate, but nothing by way of PPV numbers because no one in the states really knows who Bute is.

So in ending this because I really dont have a dog in this fight and Bute fans are close to earning a nickname ala *******s.

Bute is the best fighter out there for Ward to fight, hardcore fans know this the mainstream doesnt. Bute doesnt have the resume to fall back on in case he gets waxed by Ward easy. It would become a non-factor fight just like Hopkins vs Lipsey, Mayweather vs Manfredy. Outside of a great gate number there would be little to no PPV interest in this fight, and would likely land on regular HBO. Far below were a fight of this level should be.

The fight needs to happen at 168, or else why do it? I think it will happen though.

The Dirrell thing is a mixed bag of tricks to me. Dirrell is way too risky to fight for the money and credit he would get at the moment. This fight might make more sense a little down the road. I don't think it happens at all though.

Maybe I give more credit to Bute than others, but I think he is more than just a hypejob, and I think stands a substantial chance to beat Ward. I also think Ward knows this. Which is why he wants to maximize. If it was something he thought he could do easy, I think he'd sign on for the money they could get right now.

However, I do think Ward would get more credit for beating Bute if/when he has beaten a Froch or Kessler.

Double edged sword there. I don't think Dirrell is that name. Showtime doesn't want Bute to fight Froch for some reason. If they're insisting on an American, I don't see where this goes.

I'm starting to think this is more about Ward and Bute vs Showtime than anything else.

This fight shouldn't be a PPV. If they try, I think they'll be in for a rude awakening.

Judge not or you will be judged.

And the serpent told adam and eve that if they ate the fruit they could become like gods.

Sounds familiar considering there is a false god who just won the s6. He literally considers himself a god among men. Nimrod reincarnated.:nono

So Bute/Interbox have already booked a 20K stadium for an April fight hoping to force their hand with Showtime and get Froch.

Showtime is not yet budging and without the 2 mil guarantee plus gate and tv, Froch has 2 million less reasons to take this fight.

Now, Dirrel has said he'll fight Bute, but he'd rather take a few more step up fights first and insists on a fight in America, preferably the Detroit area.

Ward don't want Bute yet, and for good reason. As a few intelligent posters have said it's too high risk, assuming Bute will get Froch, Dre/Tony, Abraham, Steiglitz, Kessler to sign, Showtime to pick it up, and Bute and Ward can later meet on HBO for bigger money.

Ward really should be working on his own promotion right now soas to become a bigger draw himself. Bute can draw 20K anywhere near his hometown, Froch and Kessler can do 40K in a soccer stadium, and even Steiglitz can pack in a crowd in Deutschland.

Can Ward build himself up to make a fight in Vegas, LA, Frisco/Oakland enough to make a Bute fight in his backyard worth it. IDK.....seems he has trouble filling seats in arenas holding 10K.

Where does Bute go from here? Should he drop his belt and fight the WBA or WBC #1 and become a mandate for Ward?

Should he stick to his gunz and take Tony D in Canada, making Showtime happy, finishing his contract but then again, potentially being passed over by Ward who'd much rather fight Steig, Kessler, or a pushover when he is fully rested and healed.

I'd say bring Ward-Bute to NYC.
