Ward is the #1 SMW in all rankings, ALL OF THEM.

Ward: Knock him out? Wha'd you mean, knock him out? Knock him out with what?
Virgil: I don't know, use your imagination.
*Ward punches Mendy.
Mendy: Ouch!
Virgil: Don't touch him up; knock him out!
Ward: I'll knock you out in a minute! Look: you wanna knock him out, you knock him out.

The way Ken Norton > Duane Bobick. Ken Norton fought and beat some great fighters, Dirrell fought and his only loss is arguable, the one against Froch.

Dirrells win over Anthony Hanshaw was better than Butes LAST FIGHT. And that was Dirrell back in 08'... do you catch my drift? Bute has held onto that piece of paper for four years and haven't done ****.. Dirrell never held a title and already has a better resume.

We where comparing Bute and Dirrell here, not Bute and Ward. Just because some fighters where given exposure through the Super Six does not mean they are head and shoulder above everyone else. AA is a name, but at SMW he cant compete.

Many ringside observers had Dirrell winning against Froch, I did too.. with one point!

Although like someone said, he spoiled in that fight and rightfully didn't win the title, that one fight proved more about his skills than Bute has ever proved, however.

His loss against Froch does more for ones legacy, than Butes all wins combined.

 

Have you seen Abraham's record at SMW? It's a ****ing joke. Team Dirrel Promotions co-opted you in their group , or what?

 

His best win was against Taylor, a far better fighter than any of Butes last four years of opponents.

 

I actually Rate the Loss to Froch Higher.. cause Froch look suspect at many times during the fight and clearly Dirrell did what he needed to do to win.. was it pretty no.. can I blame the Judges for the decision they came to No..

I rate the DQ win over Abrahamn on the same level as the Bute vs Andrade 1 win for BUte..

Together those 2 fight give Dirrell a better resume than Bute..

 

I understand your standpoint, but as far as I am concerned you need to win your fights. Ending up at the wrong side of split decisions, no mather how controversial, does not do it for me. Had he the trainer and the manager, Dirrell could be great as a SMW. Unfortunatly he has neither, and I expect little to come from him. Ward is the on to watch, and hopefully Bute as well.

 

It comes down to 2 fights in my book

I can say even for the Dirrell vs abraham = Bute vs andrade

Froch rates better than anybody on Bute's resume and Dirrell made him look like a child at times..

Dirrell lost because he didn't have heart and know how to close a fight in another opponets back yard..

Bute has nothing like Froch on his Resume..

Basing that off what........who again did Abraham beat at SMW. Oh yeah, a Clclass fighter coming up from WW.
