See N'Jikam is another fighter in no hurry to fight Golovkin,Love to see more of Gennady but not many willing to step up to the plate.!!

Several sources are reporting that Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam has chosen to give up and lose his WBA Interim title, simply because he does not want to fight Gennady Golovkin, as the WBA has ordered.

N'Jikam was the WBA Interim Champion, while Golovkin is the full WBA World Champion. WBA tried to force a fight between the two, and a purse bid was ordered.

It now is being reported that N'Jikam has voluntarily given up and lost his title because he refused or does not want to fight Golovkin. This is a blatant case of ducking a fighter and the whole point of winning an Interim title is to fight for the full title.

This situation is truly embarrassing for N'Jikam, and news like this is bad for boxing.

There used to be a time when the great boxers, actually wanted to fight other great boxers. That time has clearly come and gone when we have champions giving up titles to avoid certain fights.

N'Jikam isnt the only Middleweight avoiding Golovkin.

Outside a match with Sergio Martinez very few boxing people will pick against Golovkin in any Middleweight fight, the guy is an awesome TV fighter with power, terrific amateur pedigree & i expect K2 to get him some decent fights now as his promoter.

Golovkin seems to have them all running.

It's also just a further demonstration of the farce these pointless interim titles are.

The whole system where Fighters can just sit back and pick and choose who they want to fight, and change weight divisions to dodge dangerous fighters is a disgrace I dont know what they can do to change the farce that is Boxing at the moment but getting rid of these Bull**** Titles would be a good start.!!!

Totally agree with you :goodThe letters UFC aren't usually very welcome around here. But that organisation could sure teach boxing a thing or 2 about making good match-ups and ensuring the best fight the best.

Tend to agree Mate,I think the letters WBA have a lot to do with the shocking state of Boxing at the moment, they are a disgrace, should be fines or disciplinary action for any fighter that dodges a mandatory for no good reason that would sort the Dog's out Big time.!!!!

I don't think the organisations give a flying **** to be honest mate. Sanctioning dollars from all the bogus title fights just keep pouring in and the head honchos just continue to get fatter as a consequence.

Supposed to be within 18 months.

Bit awkward when Cotto earns 5 to 8 million fighting big names compared to what he would earn fighting an unknown like Trout.

Sturm is a big earner in Germany whoever he fights so it comes down to risk compared to reward i suppose.

Bit unfair on Golovkin Im sure Sturm wouldn't want to risk this happening unless he was well paid.

Golovkin had wins over Dirrell and Lee in the ams, as well as a KO over Bute.

Mundine was'nt the only middle who thought risk does'nt = reward.
