Qawi was talking about "wanting Saad again" after he beat Martin. He fought Saad after that and beat him again.

Winky was making excuses for Tito in the post fight interview and said he wanted to face him again.


Didn't Lewis go to court or something like that to try to fight Tyson again?

 

We know why Winky wanted to fight Tito again :hey The payday is what it boils down to!

 

Ward vs. Kessler II - biggest fight at 168 other than Bute or Froch II, likely bigger than Froch II, plus the first go around was a walk in the park.

Segura vs. Calderon II - I think this was for the legacy and the money for Segura's behalf, both actually.

Ortiz vs. Berto II - although I think that it was mutual, it counts as Ortiz even "conceded to the outrageous blood testing demands," some boxing fans would say.

Hernandez vs. Cunningham II - to prove that he is the better man, as their first six rounder was indecisive.

Arce vs. Angkota II - Arce's motivations were the vacant WBO bantamweight title

Mares vs. Agbeko II - due to the backlash he got from the original foul fest.

OK, just read that post you made about it being decisive. So, remove the Hernandez and Mares fights.

 

Lewis wanted a Tyson rematch pretty badly, obviously just to cash out.

 

Morales pushed harder than Barrera for the 2nd fight because of Barrera`s constant bitching about the decision in their first fight... Barrera accepted over 2 years later & lost even more decisively (corrupt/******ed judges opinions not included)

True. It was almost as pathetic as retiring when Lewis did.

Yeah, I remember him making the excuse for Tito in the post fight interview stating that Tito had underestimated him, but didn't Winky also say before the fight that he was worried that he would win such a lopsided victory that no one would want to see a rematch?

 

I also think in the cases of Hernandez and Mares, they and their respective promoters would have been quite comfortable not giving rematches if they hadn't faced IBF and network pressure.
