    Yep, Cinco de Mayo date, probably Canelo, it looks likes it was their intention from the beginning. Why book ahead to that date before any negotiations if you wanted Pacquiao? Why was that date so important to them? Floyd and Golden Boy have their fans wrapped around their fingers. None of them can see through what they are doing. Floyd will fight the entire Golden Boy stable and they still won't see.

    apparently may 5th is non-negotiable since more mexican fans would see the mayweather-canelo fight.

    2007 - dela hoya (GBP)
    2008 - hatton (GBP)
    2009 - marquez (GBP)
    2010 - mosley (GBP)
    2011 - ortiz (GBP)
    2012 - canelo??? (GBP)

    they were free agents. signed for 1 fight for pacquaio. fight promoted by top rank. why are you mad that floyd only fights GBP fighters for the past 5 years?

    i'm wrong on this..

    but I didn't know Canelo was going to be on the undercard..

    so yeah if GBP needs mexicans to increase attendance, more power to them.

    The only fighter fighting in-house opponents is Pacquiao and it's obvious as hell. Clottey, Mosley, Concheato, Cotto were all in-house fighters. Bradley, a possible next opponent, is an in-house fighter too.

    Fact is, both Arum and Mayweather can't and will never be able to come up with a deal.
