I agree.. The thing most casual fans say about Tyson is: when someone fights back, he losses, he is a big bully without heart..
that is not true at all, he would take whatever you threw at him and keep going, he was relentless and wanted to get close and inflect damage..
The same thing goes for the Klitschko brothers, people uses fight that happen 8 or 10 years ago to discredit their legacy :hey

 

Foreman was 42 and went the Distance with Both Hollyfield (29) and Morrison (24) I remember at the time there was a lot of negative about the fight happening with Georges age and there were real concerns about his safety,but Credit to the Big Man went the distance when many thought he would be finished off early by 2 Great fighters in there prime.!!!!!

 

Foreman could take a mean punch. Issue here is speed, could he handle Tyson's speed? Foreman had weight (although fat weight) reach, and height

Alex Stewart was 28 in his prime when he fought the Old Fella and he may have turned the Old Man Foremans face to mush,but Stewart still lost the fight The Big 42 Year old George defeated Stewart in a Split deciscion.!!!!!

stewart was a fringe contender that foreman one against in a very contraversial decision! the same stewart the tyson blew away in one round!!
dont get me wrong, i love foreman he is great for what he has acheived, but he aint some mythical creature with god like power cat like reflexes.

 

It is quite funny how people can actually judge him for his last three fights. Then again when I see him being hugely underated I don't get to bothered because many overrate him.

Holyfield, Lewis, Foreman, Holmes, Bowe and Tyson were the ATG heavyweights in 'tysons era' ATG all of them accept Bowe rank above him yet H2H people always say Tyson KOS anyone.

Their is good evidence their, like cleaning up the division (although he never really had that definng win although Spinks and Holmes were good wins) but I just find it hard to see after a supposedly shot Tyson got outboxed completely by Holyfield and apparently because Tyson lost to Douglas he automatically becomes out of his prime when people need to accept Douglas
was just better on the night.

My verdict on Foreman Tyson would be a fairly wide UD for Tyson 117-111 style. Foreman starts of ok but gets tired in the later part of the fight and simply can't keep up with Tyson. I think Tyson would also have a good chance for a late KO but give the old warhorse the benefit of the doubt as stylistically he is quite a lot to handle.

 

agree with that, my take is tysons prime was 86-91 but peak was 86-88
its not douglas fault for tyson not training and ****ing jap girls. buster fought a great fight and that shouldnt be taken away from him, its just a shame the didnt rematch because tyson would have righted the wrong, then maybe we could have seen holyfield sooner.

 

When Foreman was 42 he went the distance with a prime Holyfield,something Tyson tried twice and could not achieve.

Look I rank Tyson in my Top 10 all Time Greats he was a legend but in his 6 Losses he was TKO 5 times he had to finish off opponents early and he did not like being taken any distance Douglas proved that,and to think that Tyson in his prime would take a Foreman in his prime early is Bull **** would never happen Foreman was TKOd once in his whole career and that included later in his career when he was fighting as a washed up old Man,even Holyfield could not finish him off.!!!!!

 

did you see what tyson did to stewart? you're giving foreman an excuse against a 28 year old alex stewart after seeing what tyson did to that stewart?

if you're giving excuses to foreman against guys that do what stewart did too him then foreman is in ****ing trouble

Stewart was 26 Tyson was 24 when they met sounds reasonable Tyson was always gunna finish him early,Holyfield TKO Tyson first time and Was making mince meat of Tyson when he bit his ear off the second time,but an old 42 year old Foreman went 12 rounds with Holyfield.

My comment about Stewart was because some Moron said Stewart made Mince meat of a 42 Year old Foremans face and he forgot to mention Foreman won the fight,dont rate Stewart that much just making a point.!!!
