    Blood tests?

    These have been agreed to.

And if they were back in 2009, fight was on.

Pac/Arum ran in the middle of negotiations to sign to fight Clottey :)lol:) where as Mayweather signed to fight Mosely (the next biggest fight in boxing).

2009 - that's on team pac. Obviously, impo

ok, let's say its arums fault now. after the cotto fight, floyd still refuses to budge on the 50/50 split and won't fight pacquiao. who's fault is it now?

Will cross that bridge when it comes.

I think 50-50 is fair at this stage, but if Floyd goes on to make $60-$70 million for Cotto and does 1.4+ million PPVs against Cotto where as Pac doesn't break the $1 million PPV against Bradley.

60-40 to Mayeather is reasonable, and understandable coming from a guy called "Money".

I honestly don't think both fighters will make more than $60 million though, so any offer of $50 million plus but a back end on PPV revenue seems fair.

But again, we'll cross that bridge IF it ever comes to the table (imo, Pac will fight Mayweather in his last Top Rank fight end of 2013 as a cash out fight). I don't see it being the next fight available for both fighters.

If Pac fights Bradley, he'll fight the winner of Peterson-Marquez late 2012. Not sure early 2013, but probably a guy he can easily beat to hype up a late 2013 (and final fight of his career) against his arch rival.

pac-cotto made 1.25M PPV as opposed to floyd-jmm's 1.05M PPV back in 2009 but pac agreed to a 50/50 split.

pac-jmm3 made 1.41M PPVs as compared to floyd-ortiz' 1.25M PPV in 2011 yet pac is still ok with 50/50 while floyd is demanding more.

floyd-cotto is bound to sell more than pac-bradley since bradley is not a big draw. the result should not change the split on the next negotiations as 50/50 is just fair for a fight of this magnitude.

now you think 50/50 is fair because pac had made more than floyd last year. so why do you think it's still not floyd's fault for refusing the fair 50/50 split?

and if floyd still demands, more than 50/50 after cotto, would you still not blame floyd?

    I think 50-50 is fair.

But that's not what the entire negotiation is about.

Arum and Floyd don't see eye to eye. Never have, and probably never will... Until, of course, pac is on his final fight with Top Rank in late 2013.

Even if Floyd agreed to 50-50, Arum is likely to put up some roadblocks, as has been the situation the entire past 3 years.

Floyd gets out of Jail around August/September. Is November realistic? Can Arum's noted roadblocks regarding dates (as well as venues, stadiums, investors and guarantees) create roadblocks for this fight?

Furthermore, can Arum's seemingly unwillingness to negotiate with Floyd no matter what create further road blocks.

Is Koncz supposed offers (which occurred after negotiations failed and are dubious in any case) be taken as fact?

There are a large number of a factors to be included.

Just because a fight involving Floyd doesn't happen doesn't necessarily mean it's Floyd fault, as 90% of irrational Pac fans and Floyd "haters" seem to indicate.

As I said, we'll cross that bridge when we get there, and see how it turns out.

But still, my position is firmly as follows:

2009 - Pac ran away from the fight before negotiations ceased to quickly sign Clottey (a 750K PPV fight) while Mayweather went on to sign Mayweather (the best next fight available in oxing).

2010 - Floyd went on vacations. His fault or not, we won't get in involved in that ( a fighter fighting for nearly 20 years is entitled to such a break). But Floyd's fault.

2011/2012 - Arum's 39 excuses, including date, venue, stadium, cut etc.... indicate it's Pac's/Arum's fault. Irregardless of koncz (again,) words POST failed negotiations and only once Cotto fight was signed came to the table.

Nothing I've been presented with so far, based on information, quotes, articles and research, suggest otherwise.

The blood tests are because he's scared.

"My health is more important than money."

"I am afraid for my son's life."

Spin it all you want, Mayweather has already admitted he was in talks with Koncz. Mayweather BITCHED OUT ONCE AGAIN.

***********.com: What is your reaction to the comments from Mayweather?

Koncz: I have a commitment to Floyd to keep our negotiations out of the media. However, in light of his absurd and unwarranted comments directed towards Manny, I feel compelled to respond.

When I first met with Floyd, at his gym, that was at the instruction of Manny - to reach out to Floyd and see if he’s serious about this fight. Because in the past, we've tried to make this fight three times. Twice with the two promoters involved and once with intermediate people involved. Me and Manny believe this fight was never made for a couple of reasons, because it was being negotiated in the media. And I believed that maybe Floyd wasn’t getting the facts as they were being presented to his people. So I reached out to him. When I went into the gym, per Manny's instruction, I asked him point blank if he wanted the fight because we were interested and I didn’t want to play games. He said 'yes.'

Then I informed him that we were okay with the blood testing. We were okay with the blood testing every day, except the day of the fight and then we chatted just general conversation and that was just the extent of our negotiations. I also told him that we should keep this out of the media, and we're doing like you said a few months ago in the media, that Manny needs to be his own boss, and that’s why he has sent me here as his representative.

So we had a couple of conversations in-between there. Then I went back to the Philippines. And then he called me to discuss the fight again. He said that he wanted to pay us $40 million dollars, $40 million wired within two days. I put Manny on the phone with Floyd. Manny told him that he had no problem with a 50-50 revenue split and that he was sending me back to America to discuss the matters further with Floyd - which I did the following Monday. I arrived in America [and] I went to Vegas. I met with Floyd on two separate occasions, personally, and spoke to him on the phone a couple of times.

I informed him that Manny would not accept a buyout of $40 million. Because that's what it was. When I asked Floyd about the [pay-per-view/revenue] overage, he said 'I'm paying you guys $40 million, accept that first and then perhaps we can talk about something on the overage at the end.'

I said that 'I discussed it in depth with Manny and we can't accept those terms Floyd. But what Manny has offered me to do, is split the revenue 45-55 - with 55 going to the winner of the fight.' So I told Floyd that if you’re the best fighter in the world, then no problem you're going to get the extra ten percent. On a fight of this magnitude, that's $200 million and that's an additional $20 million to you. It wasn't accepted.

About a week later, I spoke to him a couple of times in-between, and I relayed our final offer to him - that we do the blood testing every day except for the day of the fight and we would do the revenue split 45-55. However, I added in there, that at this point in time that we would guarantee his purse to be $50 million dollars. Because in our prior conversation, his purse was going to be [guaranteed] by somebody else. And then again he was adamant about doing this $40 million dollar buyout.

***********.com: Was fighting on May 5th an issue?

Koncz: During the bulk of the negotiations, May 5th was never ruled out by us. In fact, when I met with Floyd I told him that we would fight at the end of May at this temporary arena. However, if we agreed on everything else, the revenue split and stuff, then Manny wouldn’t have a problem with fighting on May 5th. Perhaps, Bob wouldn’t be too excited about it, but as long as the two fighters agreed on everything, Bob would probably follow our stuff. So we never ruled out May 5th.

Okay. You're only willing to see it from one side, and Floyd is the anti-christ no matter what.

Post articles from Koncz all you want, but they mean nothing. This information came to light post failed negotiations and following the Floyd-Cotto fight being signed.

Koncz is a known liar and not the most trust worthy source.

And even if Koncz was telling the truth, there's a 99.9% chance that Arum would still never agree to the May 5 date and MGM grand. So Koncz' statements mean niente.

I've made my positions clear on who's to blame at which stage, And I've yet to hear a realistic argument to suggest otherwise.

So as I've repeated numerous times, we'll cross that bridge next negotiations.

Which I believe will be late 2013, when Pac is on his last fight with Top Rank and most likely his last fight ever (i.e. a cash out fight).

For as long as Arum's involves, history has proven that Floyd can't solely to be blamed. In fact, he's less to blame.

Pac is likely to fight the Marquez-Peterson fight late 2012, so I don't think we'll be crossing this bridge until late 2013.

Every fight since, and every future fight, will include blood tests.

So this whole "blood tests was a way to create a roadblock" is false information.

Unfortunately for the irrational Pac fans.

Disclsimer: Floyd's not an innocent party. He's an arrogant SOB and is partly to blame (along with pac and Arum). But my posoition on who's to blame in the respective years (2009, 2010 and 2011/2012) are clear clut and will not budge. This is based on what I have heard, read in interviews/articles and rsearch.

not even floyd rejecting a fair 50/50 split which is the first issue that needs to be settled?

if things were reversed and pac demanded a bigger split while floyd said 50/50 is ok, you guys would be criticizing pacquiao. but now that floyd rejected a fair 50/50 split from pacquiao, it's still pac's fault for you guys. amazing!!!

floyd started on the wrong foot. he and his camp accused pac of using PEDs. but all of this are settled now and pac conceded.

now that floyd has moved the goalpost yet again, should pac concede again to floyd's new demand just to make the fight?

As repeated numerous times, even if PBF accepted 50-50, we're dealing with Arum. So even if Konsz was telling the truth :)lol:) the fight was never being officially offered by Pac to PBF. Again, team Pac made numerous statements/quotes that they didn't know who to contact, despite being told numerous times.

Date, Venue, Outdoor stadium, cut etc. etc. would still have been an issue. As per Arum himself, as well as Koncz ("Arum would not be happy with date and venue nonetheless, etc...)

Unless you believe Koncz, who creates these offer after negotiations failed and the Floyd-Coto fight was signed. Even when Arum publicity admitted to not know who to contact out of Floyd's camp (although Floyd made it clear on numerous occasions that Haymon was the man).

It's one a one way street, but 2011/2012 in my boooks will fall on Arum/Pac. That's just how I see, again, based on information, interviews, quotes and resaeach.

I eon't take koncz' word for it, and Arum would still have created roadblocks nonetheless.

I'll repeat it again, we cross the bridge next negotiations, which I believe will be in 2013. My stance on who to blame in the respective years is firm, and personally, quite clear.

Sure, testing was the first time brought up in Pac's potential fight.

But it occurred during each and everyone of Floyd's fight since, and will occur in each future fight of Floyd.

    Testing = non issue.

Holy sh!t. You're even admitting that the issue about blood testing is all Mayweather.

    Blood tests - DONE.
    May 5th - DONE.
    50/50, 55/45 to the winner, 55/45 with 50 mil guarantee - DONE.

Miguel Cotto is low risk, high reward; Mayweather knows this.
