Pretty amazing just how far Khan's stock has dropped on this forum since his split decision loss to Peterson.

What's even more amazing is that Khan losing that close decision somehow made Tim Bradley and Victor Ortiz absolute monsters all of a sudden.

If you think that then he won't last long at 147 will he?, I think his body will like and feel more natural at 147.

That's how Eastside works, it's crazy what some home cooking can do.

  4. Yeah good one, Graham Earl is a real testimant/reference to Khans punching power... You did watch Khans last fight right? He threw absolutely everything in his arsenal at a great rate at Peterson who pretty much shrugged it off and walked him down all night to a close victory, now tell me how hard does khan punch at world level really..

  5. Why do you think that? Hes not even a big 10 stone fighter, of course he could move to 147 take on an old man in Mosley and probably stop him but it wont mean ****, at some point he'll have to take on a young fresh strong welterweight with power and it will not go his way.

Khan is bigger than most 140 fighters what you on about, his frame is of a 147 fighter.

I think the extra weight will improve Khan's power due to his speed and stronger legs and more of a planted feet.

Fighters moving up in weight generally move around the ring less and settle down more, giving more time to settle of their punches, Khan at 147 should be less jumpy.

  7. Not gonna happen sunshine Khan will loose what power he has when he moves to 147, its the way it is in boxing.

    Pacman??

  9. Has carried his power up through the weight classes, certain individuals will do it, but the majority of the time they dont. they loose power. Nigel Benn moving to super middle lost alot of power, thing with Khan is hes not a devistating puncher as it is, he relys on his speed and workrate, he'll still cause problems for most top level fighters but someone like Ortiz will be to strong for him.

Retaining speed while moving up in weight = improved power

Adding any weight/muslce to fast hand speed should have good results.

Let's see if I am right or wrong when he moves up.

you are hilarious, you khan fans seem to think moving up in weight is khans answer to his problems but im sorry to say its not, you think the move from 135 to 140 improved his chin, it didnt. It was freddie roach who improved his chin, by improving his defence, improving his condition and training methods with ariza and improving his sparring. Going from 140 to 147 could improve his power but not for the crap reasons you gave, he will be facing guys who will have a lot more strenght and power so things will balance up, well maybe less in khans favour as he struggles with strong and powerful guys, this only leads me to believe that khan will be on his bike a lot more at 147 than he is at 140

Of course they were factors too in improving his chin along with the extra weight.

Let's see what happens when he moves up, let's see who will be right.

Ortiz is much bigger than Khan, he will destroy Khan. Khan had trouble dealing with the slightly bigger Peterson.
