Des I have shown you this more than once and made you eat your words with this before. in another thread You asked me what Braehmer had done at SMW, which was more than Butler. When I asked you about Butler being top 10 rated by what you think was reputable. Sheika, Veit and Ashira were all beaten when top 10 rated. You know I have shown you this, the post says when rated and when later became rated. Hows that misleading. 1: Joe Calzaghe* (Britain), 28-0, WBO 2: Sven Ottke (Germany), 19-0, IBF 3: Glenn Catley (Britain), 26-3, WBC 4: Bruno Girard (France), 37-2-1, WBA 5: Byron Mitchell, 20-1-1 6: Markus Beyer (Germany), 18-1 7: Richie Woodhall (Britain), 26-2 8: James Butler, 16-1 9: Charles Brewer, 35-6 10: This content is protected 20-1 1: Joe Calzaghe* (GB), 38-0, WBO 2: Jeff Lacy, 19-0-0-1, IBF 3: Mikkel Kessler (Denmark), 35-0, WBA 4: Markus Beyer* (Germany), 32-2, WBC 5: Danny Green (Australia), 19-2 6: Mads Larsen* (Denmark), 45-2 7: Robin Reid (GB), 38-4-1, IBO 8: Anthony Mundine (Australia), 23-2 9: This content is protected (Germany), 45-1 This content is protected , Champion This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Currently active definitely should include Bute, JCC, Senchenko. Bute and JCC still have time to rectify and have no choice but to step up but Senchenko at the age of 34 and 32 fights under his belt as the WBA champion....I mean damnnnn... Historical, Sven Ottke, especially as he shouldnt have been undefeated, Reid and Brewer fights spring to mind and I may throw Joe up there as well, as he really didnt step up early enough, victories over shot RJJ and Chris Eubank dont count for ****, gotta give him some props for Kessler and Hopkins but for a pro career of 46 contests are definitely a little weak.
How far past prime was Eubank to you then? Eubank had lost a close decision to Collins, that many thought he won, had a couple of tune ups and rematched Collins to a SD, had a couple of tune ups and lost clearly to underdog Calzaghe. After that loss Eubank went up to CW and challenged world champ Thompson losing a very close decision and then rematched Thompson losing on injury when ahead. Thats Thompson who years later past his best KOd D Haye. Consider Eubank only had 2 losses to one fighter when he fought Calzaghe, the second by SD to a world champ and was 31 then went on to challenge a big CW flooring him etc, how past his prime do YOU think he was? People say Jones was shot but he was able to completely dominate and stop Lacy after Calzaghe, whilst J Taylor won clearly against Lacy but suffered a non counted KD. Taylor was giving Froch fits. Jones was alot faster, had a better workrate and is a harder hitter, he also has better skills and reflexes even if you say hes shot. I think that version of Jones would beat Froch but even if many agree, they will deny this as it blows alot of their points out of the water
Thankyou. You are right about Spadafora, I didnt think of him, I was thinking more about fighters like Jacobs, there was another similar I was trying to remember the name of. Did you ever see the Floyd/Spadafora spar session? It was interesting
Made me eat my words? Very sassy. But no. I think you mean this thread...... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=372773&highlight=bailey&page=6 To 10 rated by whom? It's misleading because you never show WHO ranked them.........as evidenced by............ Where are these rankings from? It's misleading because people will think your talking Ring rankings. Ashira at MW? So not an accomplished SMW? Not exactly accomplished at MW either, but yet gets mention as a credible opponent at SMW, for a long time belt holder? Yet guys like Carl Froch, Jermain Taylor, Arthur Abraham, Glen Johnson, Andre Dirrell, Andre Ward, etc. get discredited for not being, or beating, accomplished SMWs. Convenient.
This guy http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=240316&cat=boxer Read so much **** on this guy being the most feared man in the world and creating chaos all over the globe. Hell there is books and books and books about the guy, has films about him and is one of the most known men in history. Yet the Chisango bro's put him out in 7 combined.
To bad the question was not "who is the best undefeated fighter of all time" cause then you might actually have a case.
