Ok, so pac tries to get cotto weight drained saying that any weight over 150lbs is too hard on his body. When he fought margo at 150lbs what did pac come in at? 144lbs!!!! I call bs. Floyd is willing to face cotto at 154 but was asking sergio to come in at 150lbs. Both these guys are full of it. Who cares if they never fight.

Pac doesnt want to fight above 147, floyd wants to show he doesnt drain like pac is being accused of.
Cotto choosing floyd 154 is a very smart option, he gets paid greatly, can defend his title and has the legacy opportunity.
I was one of the people who thought cotto could take floyd back in the day, I always wanted to see the fight so needless to say im happy with the matchup, hopefully miguel pulls it off.

I wanted to see cotto and floyd back in the day too. But my point is why did floyd want sergio to come all the way down to 150 as opposed to meeting in the middle at 154? Sounds like the same weight draining tactics pac uses.

Floyd didnt ask anything...someone simply told him that Martinez OFFERED it, and he was opened to it..Cotto and Floyd are both natural ww, so they can fight eachother at 54'...but Martinez is a middleweight...he will come in the ring weighing 170 lbs, and Floyd will find himself trapped in a ring with a big lion

Pac wasn't worried about the effect of adding weight to his body. Getting tagged by Margo had him curled up in pain for a few days apparently. It was fighting someone that much bigger he had an issue with.

Either way, for him to try and bring Cotto down to Welter shouldn't have been that big of an issue since Cotto is still a small JrMW. But Cotto is more than in a position to tell Pac and co to sit and spin if he doesn't want to cut any weight.Especially after I heard Koncz saying the weight they wanted was like 149? Get the **** out of here with that ****. That's too close to welter.

He's fought a young, hungry lion tree. Martinez would be an older lion who only weighs 5 more pounds.

Floyd never asked. He was told that Sergio OFFERED to come down and Floyd simply acknowledged that it was doable. Nothing more.

Why would anyone do that?...LMAO..Its hard to do that, when he keeps giving us these awesome fights, and becoming more entertaining in his later yrs...I remember when he used to be boring...but now, he walks u down and u STILL cant touch em...I like Floyd more these yrs than I used to, and I dont understand boxing fans who could hate on something that special...Mayweather is a once in a lifetime thing

Check my post history. Been critical of Floyd on more than one occasion. Can we say the same about you and your Pacquiao fix? Hell you'll even defend Bob "yesterday I was lying, today I'm telling the truth" Arum.:patsch

floyd could of made 144 for jmm but he chose not to even when jmm was the smaller guy, he still chose to come in bigger with no logical explanation for it. pac is just ridiculous with his catchweight bs. he could of fought cotto at 147, but, even after cotto got his arse kicked by margarito, he chose not to. they luv to have all the advantages. definitely taints their careers. yet, pac fought clottey at 147 who is known to come in at 170 after the weigh-in. and still clottey hardly threw a punch.
