Hirales lands some right hands while skittering from side to side hyper-actively. Nichol is digging low with hooks at the hips and sending his plunger jab down the bowl. Hirales tapes Nichol on the head with jabs and rights, busy little flurries. Hirales misses a hook as Nichol ducks into him. Left hand leads from the unheralded southpaw Nichols. Hirales misses more hooks, ducked. Clinch. Wide hooking flurries by Hirales, wasting a lot as Nichol ducks into him. Nichols isn't throwing much back. Wide right hook by Nichol. Clinch. Soft right hand by Hirales.

Round 2

Nichol pushes his high right jab out at Hirales. Clinch. Hirales isn't getting punches off, worrying too much about Nichol's jab. Hirales is staying back on the outside and catching Nichol as he dives in and grabs. Hirales is missing his hooks badly over Nichol's head. The southpaw keeps ducking low, not quite below the waist but enough to make Hirales cut well above his head and leave himself open. Not many counters from Nichol, though. Lots of clinching and pushing. Straight left and an uppercut from Nichol, both blocked. They tie up. Hirales hops around to his left and misses a hook. Another hook misses badly as Nichol ducks. Nichol bends forward into an uppercut to the face, glancing. Hirales misses a follow-up uppercut. Nichol tapped him a bit with body shots while up close.

Round 3

Nichol is hurling in long left hands from outside and falling in atop Hirales. No effective offense from Hirales, missing his jabs and hooks and just catching Nichol in bearhugs when he comes inside. Hirales spins Nichol out and tries to plant a right hand, left hook combo on him but doesn't land cleanly. Nichol drives into his lower body and pins him against the ropes. Hirales boxes his ears with both hands clapping in from the sides. Hirales ducks a right jab and brushes the body with a left hook.

Round 4

Nichol is slipping left jabs on the outside and cannon-balling inside to hit Hirales on the ribcage and elbows with lefts on the dive. Lots of tying up and releasing by Hirales, little actual hitting. The straight right misses badly. The left hook misses worse. Clinch. Rabbit punch by Hirales. The ref tells him to stop and let go. Nichol takes a right to the body while throwing a wide right hook. Tie up. BIG LEFT HOOK to the face by Hirales. They clinch up and slap each other in the face. Both bleeding, or one of them at least. There is blood on both. Nichol reaches with right jabs to the body. Body shots by Hirales. Clinch, push. Tangled arms. Left jabs by Hirales. Nichol keeps ducking the right hand.
