Hirales is catching Nichol diving in with left hooks and whopping overhand rights to the back of the head. Nichol is floating up his right jab on the way in trying to cling to Hirales but getting held out or tossed back in a hurry. Left hooks and right hands keep tickling the back of Nichol's neck.

Nichol is ducking and making Hirales miss his hooks and rights but not throwing much back. Clinch. Toss-off. Hirales hasn't landed anything yet, and Nichol hasn't thrown anything. This round can suck my dick. Clinch. Nichol claps away with wide punches, and Hirales stops him short with a chopping right. BIG looping right to the jaw by Hirales. "Throw that right hook hard! Hard, son! Hard hook!" shouts someone's trainer. Hirales ducks a jab and taps the sides of Nichol's body. Nichol keeps flapping his gloves at Hirales' sides but isn't landing a thing but elbows. Hirales landed a good right hand at the bell.

Sheridan said he thought about giving Nichol the 6th for "outhustling" Hirales, but Raul Marquez persuaded him that Hirales "stole" it. :-(

 

This has been shortened from an eight rounder to a six rounder.

Bob Sheridan is surprised, he was sure it was going 8.

Sheridan has it "too close to call". He says Hirales edged it "if" he won the sixth, otherwise a draw.
