Donaire wins clearly, but was getting punked by that jab all night

    Donaire landed all the brutal shots (though still missed a good chunk of them on Vazquez' guard), but in front that jab, all the slick movement was starting to just look silly after a while.. for some reason it seemed he had little answer for it


    I had it 116-111 Donaire I'm having second thoughts on the outcome of a Rigondeaux fight

    Vazquez has an excellent jab. There is a reason why he was a champion.

    No one's gonna throw the jab alone for a whole fight

    The jab is the foundation of a solid offense, if you're getting tagged by it it's a problem. Not only does the damage accumulate (look at donaire's eyes) but also it starts drawing attention away from the other punches

    It's not the jab in particular but the relative frequency that Donaire was able to get tagged that signals an omen for what would happen with someone more seasoned such as Rigo

    Rigondeaux has extensive experience fighting Euro-level legends in the Olympics. This amazing athlete won a gold medal ! Against the best European warriors in the world! He would demolish this domestic trash.

    Donaire is not Euro-level. And I don't see any distinction between the being Euro-level and being world-class. Do you see one?
