    Chavez got sloppy in his pressure, but Rubio couldn't capitalize on it and only had arm punches to respond with as Chavez pushed him all over the ring digging to the body and switching his game to the upstairs towards the middle.

    A slew of left hooks and high right hands by Chavez, pushing Rubio back to the ropes. Rubio answers back with right hands but can't get full leverage on them with Chavez breathing down his neck. Chavez puts his forearm in Rubio's throat while pushing him to the ropes, blocking referee Garcia's vision with his own broad back. Rubio tries to trap Chavez's head in the crook of his arm. Chavez is eating some uppercuts, hair standing up on end! Chavez rips away left hooks high and low!!! Slugging back and forth, they are!! Rubio gets off the ropes! Good little war brewing here. Chavez shoulders Rubio back to the ropes and bashes him with a right over the top. Big hooks by Chavez Jr.! "RAGING! BULL!!!!!" screams Jim Lampley. Rubio loops some right hands into the side of Chavez's head but is backed up to the ropes and ripped with hooks!!
