What Stoo meant was that Carlos was the better man, and that's why he mentioned that he thought it would be competitive in his OP.

Your view is legitimate, but Nick was trying to win the MMA match as well.. I still think you are being a little salty, and it sounds like your guy lost.

    Nothing wrong with that :thumbsup

I can't agree with this. At no point have I ever thought Nick Diaz was a fighter who runs instead of engaging, and tries to win fights on points by landing legkicks.

No, he's a fighter who cant deal with a leg kick, one two then lateral movement...

Stoo, you're still missing what I'm saying. Condit did what he had to do to win the fight, I'm not denying that, but you've said he is what people thought Diaz was, which is totally wrong. People know Diaz is an exciting, come forward brawler with a great ground game ad that's why they like him. Condit didn't show himself to be that type of guy tonight, he proved he can stick to a gameplan, stay on the outside and potshot. Best of luck to him, but your original point was wrong.

Ok fella I get ya no hard feelings But the point of fighting is hit and not get hit. Not finishing Diaz but still taking all 5 rounds is a plus point in my books

The thing is that Diaz has a very fast pace good reach a great chin and great boxing. But what makes him really special is his bjj, against Shields GSP was afraid to go to the ground against guys like Hardy he was afraid to stand but in a fight with Diaz he wouldn´t be comfortable anywhere

I was actually surprised how close this fight was. I thought Condit was the better striker and had the size.

He just fought very tentatively at first.

Give me another example of a fighter hitting another guy 3 times more and losing? Which Greg Jackson fighter has done that

had diaz winning 3-2 but i'm not upset at the decision. condit played his game and played it well. this is the type of fight i could watch again and score differently.

the real shame is i think GSP-Diaz was gonna be a real good scrap with diaz winning by submission. if the odds were good i was even thinking of putting some $ on diaz in that fight but now i just see condit getting easily UD'd by gsp.

How is Diaz going to win by submission when he had a hell of a time taking Condit down? GSP will batter him in the stand up and will take him down to score points. Even on his guard, he'll have to be very lucky to sub GSP.
