So is any kind of atg, or h2h matchups, or asking what-if. Yeah lets just only share facts on this forum. Sounds fun.

sick sarcasm:dead. all i'm saying is that h2h all time great or any type of h2h matchup that hasnt happened shouldnt factor into anyone's evaluation of a fighter's greatness. it makes zero sense because it's pure opinion/fantasy. when it comes to evaluating a fighter's status, the only thing that should be considered is their body of work.

Well, he beat the man so he didn't have to. The K brothers are separate entities, so neither has unified the division. And since you judge fighters individually, it actually costs against them. Says a lot about the uniqueness of two brothers holding the titles at the same time though, for sure.

  4. The division is so bad that a glass chin with no killer instinct and a guy who quit against Byrd could be dominant champions. What a joke! I always said that if Wlad becomes undisputed,he can be #100 on my ATG list.

Neither one have even dominated THEIR era. MUch less any era.

Two fighters do not dominate an era in the same weight class. YOu can't SHARE greatness. They are not unified as long as the other one holds a belt.

yeah sure...heard that **** before a million times.
put the bros in Liston's era and then tell me with a straight face that they won't absolutely dominate that era.

If the Klits were americans fighting in the 60's, everybody would rave today how ****ing awesome they were and Liston wouldn't been nothing but a boxer on their resume.

    Let's see how Liston's era looked!:yep

The ring magazine's top ten from 1961:

    Champion: Sonny Liston.

    #1 Folyd Patterson.

    #2 Cassius Clay. Green kid.

    #3 Doug Jones. LHW.

    #4 Ingemar Johansson. Retired!

    #5 Zora Folley. OK.

    #6 Cleveland Williams. OK

    #7 Robert Cleroux. Bum.

    #8 Billy Daniels. Bum.

    #9 Archie Moore. Old LHW.

    #10 Henery Cooper. Bum.

61 was nothing but LHW's, green kids and bums...

I dont know how people judge greatness , but to me at the elite level of boxing its determined by 5 things , your talent , your skill level , your ability to use this to win and your ability win or manage through adversity and of course your level of competition.

when you look at guys like Ali you have extreme talent, extraordinary skill level , he beat legends and when he himself was was on the short end of the stick (age and physically) and he was still able to pull out quality wins.

to me that separates the ATG's from just greats and really good fighters , even Tyson has won fights he was losing , and he was by all accounts a broken fighter mentally .

No Klitschko has done this , and while its forgivable for Vitali because his losses are to Lewis on cuts and Byrd on a shoulder injury ...Vlad had been knocked out 3 times by inferior fighters when they got the upper hand on him ...there is no great fighter in history whom could suffer that and not beat any other ATG's and be considered one .

they are not a pair they are individuals and one's resume is far better than the other, no matter how much better Vlad looks in winning his matches until proven otherwise he is just the greatest frontrunner in heavyweight history.
