Robert's a great trainer but i dont think he is meant for donaire. hes too nice. it was a poor performance and Garcia should have checked him for all that showboating. i havent seen any improvement with donaires body punching or patience. he waits for counters too much and tries to force an opening by taking punches instead of creating openings himself. Donaire has all the tools but somethin aint right with his gameplans. is Garcia doing something wrong? who would u prefer to train Donaire if not Robert?

Donaire did body punch very well in the early rounds. Watch it again.

The showboating and attempt to power- punch through the night shows mental weakness. It shows that the pre fight **** got through to him.

His defense is not improving. Too hittable.

But give V credit. He made it close enough though he is less physically gifted.

I truly hate to say it but Mayweather's style would suit his speed and athleticism.

    JDJ would also be ideal.

Just to add, Virgil would also probably be excellent for Nonito.

if u look at Robert Garcias 2 best fighters(Margo & Rios) they are come-forward brawlers with poor boxing skills. that is not Nonitos style. the bottom line is, Nonito needs an African American trainer that knows how to deal with slick athletic fighters.

Mayweather has long reach and a completely different body type. Also Mayweather is a defense first fighter and Nonito is a boxer puncher.

I think Roy Jones Sr would be a better trainer for Donaire than Mayweather but honestly I think Donaire would be best with Roach based on his style.

He needs Freddy Roach. There aren't any good African American trainers.

Name one. Naz? Naz is good but not that good. There are a few others but none are as good as Roach or Garcia.
