Fedor understood it well enough to wrecklessly dive into Werdum's guard when he never actually connected with that strike before Fabricio landed on his back. You go for a finish when it presents itself, if you go in planning on only doing one thing and someone expects you to do that thing, the chance of ****ing up is pretty good if they're ready.

You are now being the ****ing ******. The guy won a fight by following the rule of the organization. You have a problem with a game plan that FOLLOWS THE CURRENT RULE. Dip **** that means you want the rules change. You even stated how a fighter should approach the fight. How you classify each fighter is another case of ******ation from you. You even gave an example of how a rnd should be scored. So this post of your has everything to do with the scoring system because the game plan was within the rule.

What a ****ing idiot."Condit should have fought the way I wanted him too."

Im not a fan of the BJJ reliant guys but the sport is MMA so i respect all styles and accept that one doesnt always get those great slugfest fights..Fighters fight to win..And sometimes that means being strategic and very careful in there approach..

Lets not have logic in the conversation. If the fighters aren't fighting the style (insert poster's name) I like, then the fight is garbage.

Here's a concept. If Diaz has the better ground game, and people know that, then why didn't he just try and take Carlos down and sub him when his striking didn't work? It's not Condit's fault that Diaz didn't change up his game plan when it wasn't working.

Points, KOs, and submission.. It's all part of the game.

CC planted, and won every last one of those exchanges.

Coming out on top and fighting your fight is more important than pleasing somebody else.. Condit's performance was justified, and everyone is in it to win it.. Give him his credit.

Thinking a decision victory should be incidental proves that you are a casual fan at heart, favoring violence and finishes, and ultimately the biggest problem you have is in the unified rules.. For these reasons alone is why I don't think people are entitled to their own opinions.

All you're saying is you wanted Nick Diaz to win, but you scored it to Condit, but you're mad because he won.

Nick may be my favorite fighter, but I had him losing that fight. That was a classic stick and move strategy, and Condit executed it well. He never let Diaz corner, and overwhelm him, and kept the fight in the center of the cage. It was a very smart game plan, and Condit should be applauded for executing it so well.

Condit has 28 career wins, this was his second win by decision out of those.

Get ****ed with this coward bull****.

Yes, what a dumb ass Carlos Condit is. Coming into the fight with a game plan where he might win. Didn't he get the script ahead of time? He was supposed to fight the same kind of fight BJ Penn and Paul Daley did.
I mean come on Carlos. Diaz was making faces and mugging. You're supposed to fall for those schoolyard antics. Man Carlos, you've disappointed the whole MMA world by coming in with a superior game plan. Don't you know you're supposed to fight the fight that Nick Diaz wants. Not what works for you.

I think Diaz should file an appeal to have the decision overturned simply because Carlos didn't do what Nick wanted him to do.

And he should also try and get a rule change where you get points for making faces and mugging. He's clearly trained hard at that and really has it down.

So...according to you guys like Condit are a black eye to the sport because they respect their opponent's abilities? How can you expect someone to throw caution to the wind when he's fighting a guy who's as dangerous as Diaz? Maybe Diaz himself does this but you can't expect all fighters to have his caveman mentality. Condit didn't exactly throw non stop bombs but he did enough to make the fight entertaining. He landed some nice head and body punches including leg kicks and a few very satisfying kicks to the head. No way did Condit stink up the joint. If you think he did then you're more disappointed that Diaz lost than Condit's offense. He did enough.

Learn how to appreciate defense. Condit showed nice lateral movement and good footwork. If that's what you call boring then I suggest you watch one of those backyard fights they have on YouTube. MMA is not about two brainless guys standing in one spot, trading shots until one guy falls to the ground. Nick Diaz did a decent job of cutting off the octagon but there were other things he could've done to beat Condit. Diaz couldn't score as many takedowns as he needed to win the fight. He didn't win because he couldn't get his opponent to stand in front of him. He didn't do anything to adjust.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good fight loaded with as much offense as possible. I just take an issue with people have no appreciation for defense and because of this they think fighters who aren't always offensive-minded are bringing down the sport. It's a shame.

Look a little further and you'll see what's truly wrong with MMA are things like Diaz's post-fight comments. The sport and important figures like Dana gave him the opportunity to be where he's at. He basically threw them all under a bus by calling MMA a "game" that he's tired of. The guy's a sore loser.

What a stupid thread! So fighting smart is wrong? Just play into your opponents strengths? Counter strikers should be disqualified from the sport!?!
Condit won landed more strikes and Diaz couldn't stop it!

I can't understand why people support this kind of fighting. What Condit did was disgusting. GSP and Condit deserve each other. You cannot run from your opponent the whole fight and then win a championship belt. It's just wrong. This is the prove that the Octagon is too big and encourage this kind of fighting. I see no reason why I should watch GSP vs Condit. They both fight like scared bitches.
Diaz won for being a man. (octagon control, aggressiveness).
