I had the fight much closer than the two judges who gave it to Donaire. A two point margin for Nonito on my card. Vasquez Jr did alot of high quality under-appreciated work.
A beautiful jab. Vasquez is amazing. He will have a bright future. To me, Vasquez exposed Donaire. Donaire is good but most of what he has, comes from his physical tools. Once you get past the early rounds he becomes very beatable. Same thing was with Martinez. Barker showed that a good jab can ruin him.
Nah, as much as I hate the guts of this Phlippino flash donaire, he WON by at least five points! Fact If you had it closer than that, then you DON'T have an eye for boxing or at least try to learn more about the sport. Fact That being said, the judge should be banned from officiating fights. Fact
idk what that judge was thinking. Granted Vazquez' jab found a home all night but it's like the judge counted those as power shots... I had it 116-111
How can you say that? He had a bit of a wobble from 5-8 but came on strong at the end and swept the last 4.
That judge really surprised me with that score. Does he have previous with bull**** decisions like that ?? Vasquez was outclassed. It could have been much closer if he open up more. I know he was worried about getting countered, but his jab was landing, he should have doubled up more.
It just looked to me that he lacks down the stretch experience. He knocked out his best opponents in the early rounds. Jr was the second guy who he had to deal with in the later rounds and i felt a really good boxer can beat him with comfort.
An incompetent dumb**** scoring it like that is one scandalous thing. An even worse disgrace imo would be if no action is taken against him.
