It's not 20lbs of fat, it's 20lbs of water weight.

You've heard of the term "cutting weight", right?

    Hes not "gaining" the weight.

Hes dehydrating himself to extreme levels then going back up to his real weight.

When Fernado Vargas fought Mosley it was a 154lb fight, and Vargas weighed in at around 180 at ring time. Vargas must have been completely dehydrated.

Chavez training weight is about 180 pounds and leading up to the fight he dehydrates 20 pounds to make 160. Then after weigh in he rehydrates and maybe gets an Iv or somethings like that to get the water back in his body.

Cutting that much weight is hard to do, he and his team are obviously good at cutting weight he looked strong last night.

they put him in a tub with the feeder liquid and iv. It's a gruesome looking procedure, and does tremendous damage to his health in the long run, but it gives him the advantage he desperately needs.

it usually happens when you're dehydrated and then take in fluids, your body holds as much of it as possible.
