I agree Andrade was a monster back then, and not because I'm a Bute fan and I (you see) would hype him so my boy would look better but because he was that kind of fighter that was eating shots and you could not hurt, you'll not see him being staggered even after your best shot but only stopped for a second or two in his tracks. He was a machine, what impressed me back then after the first fight was not his amazing almost unreal "rocky" like ability but the fact that he was never stopping from punching. He was punching even in clinching. You can ask a guy that actually fought that a guy like that... is intimidating. I've been once in a fight like that and I know what I'm talking about.
I was hitting the guy at will , his defense was almost non-exiting, I was feeling confident I was winning and after a certain point I started to get tired, that out of nowhere the my confidence shattered in a second because I just realized my power was fading, my stamina was abruptly dropping and I could not put him down with my full strength how can I do it now. It has a great impact on your psychic it's strikes you, a short sharp feeling going trough your whole body followed by a latent anxiety like feeling that stays in after the other gone trough. I managed to get a draw on the ground with our friends breaking us up. But I tell you it's one thing to live it and another to see it.

Even tho you say some truth doesn't make it okey to put some lies in there, get your facts straight.
You say Bute never fought a guy in his prime.
Bika was in his prime doesn't matter if you describe him as a gate keeper of not. Berrio was in his prime, Andrade was in his prime.

Lies according to who? You? Well then I say I speak the truth. Now what?

I didnt actually rate Berrio, decent banger but lost 4 times by KO before meeting Bute, doesent really makes my definition of a fighter in his prime. I know some fighters improve after loses, but getting your marbles shattered four times takes a toll on a fighter. (I acknowlegde that he had some good wins before facing Bute).

The same logic goes for Andrade, his prime was when he was undefeated and met Kessler, he took a beating of a lifetime in that fight, and he lost the feeling of being unbeateble, combined with the fact that he loses a year of his life everytimes he fights with that crappy defense of his, makes me believe that he was on the decline heading in to the Bute fight (actually both Berrio and Andrade beat Stieglitz and Mack prior to the their fight with Bute, a case could be made, that this is not that impressive in retrospect).

Then we have Bika, and I may have to give you that one :p I dont think that he declined after his Calzaghe loss... I honestly do think though, that he is one of the most overrated fighters at SMW. I mean every times he steps up he lose, and the rest of his fights are primarily scrubs. I know he hasnt been blown out in any of his losses, but in my eyes he is a gatekeeper and nothing more.

I know you have another oppinion, and that is all good, makes for a good debate :good

Berrio was the IBF Champion, prior has Ko'ed Mack and Stieglitz so I can't understand how you could say that he wasn't in his prime. It was the best period of his career.

Just ask Decebal - exactly the same happend..............:-(

The best time i had here was before Calzaghe - Kessler. So many good posters who generally had an interest in the fighters and the sport.....

And we didnt agree that much - but gaining some mutual respect though.

AND I STILL THINK THAT POSTERS BACK THEN HERE AND ON THE SCENE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN THE BOXING WORLD PUT ON SO MUCH FAN PRESSURE (BOXING FORUMS), THAT PROMOTERS AND TV-NET WORKS HAD TO MAKE THE FIGHT THE FANS WANTED...:bbb

Back then a lot off deccent posters, i could disagree with. Now is seems more and more comment, that ALT.s are the way to express "your" views - damn doll and useless.......

We had a few number of very bad posters back then also... Mainly I remember a bloke named "Blocky" who to this day was the worst poster I have ever seen.

But China_Hand_Joe was pretty funny though back in the days.

Sad thing is in order to defend bute resume you have to pick from a couple of gatekeeper and a near 50 year old fighter with about 15 loses.

A weak resume doesn't mean that bute isn't good, however it doesn't mean that he is good either. I understand that canada has one good fight every 5 years and most of the time its a transplant. So you guys are excited. With you bute fans need to know is no one eles is all that excited. We want to see if fight top guys. Bute fans seem to think that this guy is in a position to call the shots.

You call it ducking because fighters don't want to fight him in canada. Once talk turns to him leaving talks stop. According to his fans the other guy is ducking. I don't blame them, after all we did see bute win a fight in which he was ktfo.

When Bute was gaining and defending his IBF title the fighters he faced were all considered A/B level guys and legitimately ranked according to who they had beaten or their projected rise into the picture.

We're both Bute fans, but the Bute haters or detractors need to recognise that Lucians resume is only thinner than Ward's and Froch's because of the s6, and that only.
If Bute were to fight Green, Taylor, Abraham right now he'd catch hell, although according to s6 logic they are all better than Bute's standard LOC. Meanwhile, all are not finalists of s6, but somehow Kessler is OK.

Who has Bute offered career defining paydays too, and title shots to?
Steiglitz, Kessler, Pavlik. Had ANY one of these taken Bute up his offer prior to the final of s6, and then Ward ducked........the haters would find a way to discredit that win as well.:-(

Bute's willing to fight Ward anytime, anywhere. You know why...............$$$$$$$. Same goes for Froch and Kessler. Problem is, Ward and Kessler want no part of him, and Froch is 2 yrs older than Bute and ready to wrap it up, and w/o the Showtime 2 mil+, he's gonna take an easier route himself.:think

Well Ward was offered a fight in Oakland, Kessler was offered a fight in Canada but why didn't he send an offer back for Denmark? Do you really think Bute would have refused 3 mil $ when his biggest payday was a little under 2 mil ?
Showtime said now to Bute - Froch but there still a small chance of that happening probably if he takes the fight in England.
What has Dirrell achieved to ask him to travel ? DQ against Abraham, losing a close fight to Froch ?

I just love the way that people know every detail of everything. Bute offered this bute offered that. When in reality you cats have no ****ing clue what's going on.

Bottomline is bute hasn't fought anyone, while claiming that guys that are fighting the best is ducking him. To quote another famous Canadian Isn't ironic, don't you think.
