your exactly right, ****ed up that calculation there.

however, I'm not accusing you of having an agenda or pushing an angle, but implying that the general consensus even here on the british forum wasnt simply "Burns will get knocked out brutally" just isnt true

52 out of 199 is roughly 25% so one in 4 would be pretty much correct, as opposed to 4 Burns for every 100 Katsidis, which would be less than 5%. Fairlybig difference. Wallet's not really the one who got owned here I'd say:lol: but I take your point that Kats was favourite, just not by as big a margin as you thought.

Edit: Too late, you figured it out before I posted.

Oh it certainly was the consensus that Katsidis would stop him. My point was that there were plenty of lads on here like yourself who were picking Burns.

My favourite is Nunn-era Toney, who apparently didn't get shown up for the majority of the fight before finally getting to his man. It's a good win, but Toney barely pulled it out.

I just said I ****ed up the calculation, but why dont you read the thread instead of doing the math..

Burns being on his back was pretty much what the conversation was about, just how long would it take? anybody who dared mention the theory that maybe Burns on his current form is just a much better fighter than Katz(no disrespect to the Katsidis one of my favs) was immediately shot down as a biased scott who didnt know boxing or was a mate of billy nelson.

And I had major doubts due to the move up in weight, I actually thought Broner was more beatable than Katz at lightweight, so talks of Burns avoding Broner to move up and fight Katsidis were bull**** in my mind.

But I digress, I am drunk and just talkin general shite.

try and bare with me though

**** sake you should be a politician wallet the way you are putting a positive spin on Brit ESB's writing off of Ricky Burns!
Rickys a brit, & the brit forum wrote him off by 4 to 1.

'katsidis to win by bruatal anal ****' & my good self being laughed at as a '******' for thinking Burns could stop him, brit ESB ****ed up badly on that fight, no matter what anyone says.

However I do think Billy Nelson "winduppery" played its part on some of the more eyebrow raising proclamations of how Burns was going to get his, but thats neither here nor there. The story had a happy ending, & I cannot grumble at that:good

    Burns beats Rios... ****ing easily..

I think the Brit forum is so used to guys getting outclassed at the top level, that they can't see a special fighter when they have one, Ricky Burns being exactly that. Burns is a class above the likes of Mitchell and Murray, but the Brits just can't see it because of the skepticism that comes with any talented fighter that comes from your island, especially Scotland

That is pretty laughable, even now. You do know Burns didn't stop Katsidis?

Nothing wrong for getting that fight wrong, there was more evidence to support a Katsidis win than a Burns one - picking the outlier and being right doesn't prove your great insight, just that if you pick enough long-shots one will eventually come in.
