Well I havent checked the old thread to see what you said DFT, but I DID pick Burns to win. Not that silly really. Did you make a prediction? Not in a smug way, cos I honestly cant be bothered trawling the old thread just to petty point score. I have a feeling though that you would have went with the crowd & picked Katsidis.

why is it such a sin that I see something special in Ricky Burns? I **** around on these forums a lot but I genuinely think Ricky Burns is a brilliant fighter at his peak, and easily a world class force.

I've said from the very start that Burns is an under-rated puncher. I've being punched by some of the biggest hitters about domestically and Ricky can bang no doubt. He's not got a walk them down, take them out style but he's got some pop- if he didn't people would walk through him.

I think everyone is shocked by his power when he hits them as evident in his recent fights.

 

I'm not denying it - I thought Katsidis would stop Ricky. But don't get it wrong, I was delighted for Ricky, same as when he pasted Martinez around the ring. He put on an amazing performance and showed he can hang in world class.

He'd beat the utter **** out of Kevin Mitchell.

 

I did and felt he was controlling the fight. It was very much even until Mitchell got that knockdown.

 

I see Dunky can't let go of his ''The English hate the Scottish that's why the picked Katsidis to win routine'' let it go Dunky, your harping on like a senile old woman.
For the record I thought Katsidis would get to Burns at some point and stop him, that was made by logic and not because I hate jocks.
