Anyone think that the Mayweather/Cotto fight will play out very similar to the Mayweather/Bruseles fight from 2005? Bruseles style is very much like Cotto's.

No. Floyd won't be calling out sports picks during the fight. Otherwise he will dominate.

It could be, and considering Cotto's great DEFENSE, he could be punished like Gatti, too.

    No.

Cotto does everything better than Bruseles.

And Floyd is not the same fighter as he was back then. He's much older, has had 2 periods of inactivity of 1.5/2 years and didn't look overly impressive in the Ortiz fight (despite winning pretty much every second of every round, as weird as that sounds).

Cotto is still an elite fighter. Not prime, but years passed his 2 losses (and close fight with Clottey), at a new weight, with a new trainer and a string of wins to build his confidence (including avenging 1 of his only 2 losses).

He'll make it interesting in parts.

It could be worse than that. Cotto has no fought anybody in his career, and everytime thta he has fought somebody he has lose badly.

With that said (and most people agree with me), IF May does put on an equally dominating performance as against Bruseles, the win becomes huge for Floyd.

People will try to argue otherwise, but that's them trying to have it both ways.

If there's no way that Floyd beats Cotto like Bruseles (which I strongly agree), but then he goes ahead and does so, then that's extremely impressive.

Look at your ***** ass. History lesson for you hoe. Bruseles and Cotto do have the same style and use to train together. Floyd himself even said that Arum wanted the Bruseles fight bc he and Cotto had the same style, and that it would lead to the Cotto fight. Cotto is way better than Bruseles but they do have a similar style. Now go ice fishing *****.

No I don't think so. Floyd doesn't fight that way anymore. I believe he will dominate Cotto though.
