I recently watched Calloway's 2008 fight with cruiser weight Alexander Alekseev. Calloway was way out of his depth before being stopped in the 3rd round. He looked like a fighter on the slide.

He really should give it away before suffering a permanent debilitating injury.
There must already be some damage after such a long career.

Have to agree with a lot of what old man has been saying on this subject.
Seem to recall a lot of posters advising Bob Mirovic to give it away in recent times under similar circumstances.

When are we going to see de Mori fight a real live one ?

 

You are right about Rob Calloway mate. In the bout below Calloway gets downed 8 times in 7 rounds. He is actually floored in every single round, and it is just sad to watch >>>

That fight was 3 years ago and Calloway is now 42 and a half years old and still getting clobbered. Sadly he has the look of a tragedy in the making.

Disgraceful that the ref didn't wave it off or his cornermen throw in the towel.

Calloway's corner were a disgrace. He could barely stand at various times in that fight, and to top it off they let the last round go all the way til the referee finally and mercifully stopped it.

I laughed at your last comment mate. deMori's team know exactly what they are getting in Rob Calloway. Have a look at deMori's record for yourself and see how well Calloway fits into his CV.

 

Ippy, maybe like me you hadn't watched the 2008 Calloway V Drozd fight before now.
If you had seen it previously and still booked Calloway, that would be indefensible.

Will you and the team consider looking for a new opponent for MDM ?
If the anti boxing lobby in the AMA got their hands on the Calloway V Drozd fight video it would be a real hot potato and very bad for boxing in general.
[ that's not a threat, just an observation ]

If MDM goes ahead and fights Calloway his already low credibility rating will drop off the scale.

Hey mate, he's coming off a 12 round points loss to World ranked WBC #6 and WBO #10 Heavyweight Chauncy Welliver. Rob has ample notice for preparation time and his team are looking forward to the fight. The contract is signed, flights are booked and the fight will go ahead. Cheers

In recent bouts: Briggs floored Calloway 3 times inside the first round. Kolodziej managed 4 times in 6 rounds. Alexeev managed 2 times in 3 rounds, and as we saw in the vid, Drozd, downed Calloway in every one of the 7 rounds, and 8 times in total atsch

Rob Calloway is nearly 43 and has been reduced to nothing more than a paycheck fighter. He's won 2 of his last 8 fights. One against a last minute replacement who only knew he was fighting when the original opponent didn't turn up at the weighin, and the other against a guy who'd lost his previous 9 fights atsch
