Rubio, who lost by unanimous decision, said he was surprised at how big Jr. was--he was 181 pounds, to Rubio's 171 on fightnight--and took issue with what he deemed favoritism towards Jr. by the Texas commission. He said Texas didn't do drug testing for the fight. He insinuated that Chavez Jr. used an illegal supplement or supplements that gave him an advantage in their bout. “I feel he recouped exceptionally fast. This really took us by surprise. There was no testing done, and in a championship fight, testing needs to be done. There was no weigh ins done the days or weeks before the fight and I feel that he was very well protected.” Rubio said in Spanish. This content is protected
I agree......It's about time boxing got its act together. No wonder we KEEP losing fans of the sport. I would like to see better drug testing as standard especially with all these undisciplined fighters having to cut massive weight. What advantage does a disciplined fighter like a Hopkins or a Mayweather who is always within a few pounds of fighting weight, over someone who is coming into camp way over the weight and is willing to take a diuretic to lose those additional pounds FAST! :-( Boxing really needs a shake up no one is happy with it.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qJ8hpDUSx8&feature=g-all-u&context=G24cb209FAAAAAAAAAAA[/ame] Another Freddie Roach/Ariza fighter refusing to take a drug test! WTF? 1. James Toney 2. Pac 3.Chavez
It's very true but sadly these things are done in broad daylight.Normally prefight weigh ins are done a few weeks before the fights but nothing was done because this drunken Chavez boy is protected.Everything Rubio said is true and Chavez does not deserve to be in a ring because of his lifestyle
i see the face of that **** again. he makes a living by criticizing athletes with superior self-discipline, but look at him.
