When Floyd defeats Cotto, will the ring recognise him as P4P #1?

Floyd and Manny are basically 1a and 1b.

Manny unofficially losing to Marquez may have pushed him back to number 2, with JMM at number 3.

A win over Cotto compared to a win over Bradley, and I'd personally put Floyd as number 1 and Manny as number 2.

I have Donaire at 4, Martinez at 5, Wlad at number 6 and Ward at number 7. It gets a bit tougher to round out your top 10 from 8 onwards.

As for the Ring, who knows?

Hard to argue with that, imo. A few may be able to swap places, but those 7 should remain in the top 7.

Its very possible. Manny won't look good against Bradley, I can guarantee you that. Bradley will make that fight and ugly fight. Manny won't KO him either. I see Manny having big problems against Bradley. It definitely won't be an easy win for Manny. Cotto WILL get dominated by Floyd. The fight will be competitive for three rounds then Floyd will walk him down and stop him late. So it is possible Floyd will become number 1 P4P by the end of the year.

 

Floyd's win over Hatton? Pretty dominating. Didn't stop Manny from taking the number 1 spot after demolishing Hatton.

 

That somehow undoes Pacquiao's accomplishments??

Although it would be a great win, floyd is still coming off a legal sucker punch knock out in which he wasn't even looking very good.

 

A good win over Bradley, regardless of weight (because the two are the same size) will be better than Floyd's over a past-prime Cotto. People harp on about Pacquiao facing over-the-hill fighters (instead of young, undefeated ones), and that he's doing exactly what's being asked of him, some are flipping it and claiming a win against over-the-hill fighter will be better .

 

Floyd was starting to time ortiz jab with his own right hand, take the hater shades off man. There is a reason ortiz had to headbutt him and that reason is called FRUSTRATION

 

Bradley has less credentials at 147 than Ortiz, his resume isn't exactly impressive and he's lost a lot of credibility by refusing to fight Khan in the last unofficial tournament at 140.

Pacquiao wanted him at 147lbs, what a completely pointless fight that would be since Cotto hasn't fought in that division since losing to him at a catchweight.

It's similar to how the majority would love to see Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 but would be screaming at Mayweather for being a cherrypicker if he fought Marquez again.

 

Ring is very pro Manny plus Bradley is a top dog. If Floyd and Pacquiao win they will still have Floyd at 2. If Floyd was to beat Martinez...

Not that I see what my post has to do with Ortiz, but, against guys like Mayweather and Pacquiao (who weigh very little different to LWWs on fight night), you don’t have to have had a decent stint at 147 to be considered a decent opponent for them. So Ortiz having one better fight at 147 than Bradley means very little bearing in mind Bradley’s achievements far surpass Ortiz’s when they were in the same division. And it means even less considering the only reason Bradley has less credentials at 147, is because he’s just not bothered to have many fights up there. If he did, he’d at least have achieved the same as Ortiz - because when all’s considered, he’s quite simply the better fighter, and thus is a bigger threat to both Mayweather and Pacquiao; making him a better win should Pacquiao do it convincingly (regardless of his ducking of Khan).

 

Depends on how he wins.
