im a med student so dont try an educate me furosamide is a loop diueretic they give it to patients with renal failure, all they do is urinate more so they can decrease the levels of urea in the body so the brain does not shutdown, its not a performancer enhancer

The MW division has the biggest frauds in boxing with Sturm and JCC jr.

Because it helps a fighter cut weight which will help give them a possible weight advantage in the ring. Also I can't imagine it is very healthy either?

Being a 'med student' you should understand why this is a banned substance. Its hardly rocket science.

No it's not a performance enhancer, but in this sport where weight is a factor ( hence the divisions ) trainers will use it to get a fighter down to a weight where they naturaly should not be fighting at. Then rehydrated them to where they gain a serious edge in weight over the opponent in Jr.'s case he had gained like some 20 pounds?!

A dr should consider the "banned substance list" before prescribing YES, but a fighter should consider delaying a fight if their best treatment requires the prescribing of said drugs.:deal

It could be that Jr. just can't make 160 naturaly anymore, and should be fighting at the next weight up. But that would just be too risky for the limited fighter, so they will keep him fighting opponents where he can get a weight advantage.

So, if you're a med student you should know that a supplement helping him **** out the water he drinks (meaning his body does not absorb all fluids he ingests) is a tool for helping him make weight.

Its fluid driven effects can also help hide other form of doping.

That's what his trainers would do to get the edge on an opponent. Steroids are just as dangerous to one's health but trainers still will give their athleates some just for a win.

There definitely should have been a post fight drug test. I don't see anyone arguing against that really
