Yeah, which means you are not a practicing Physician, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician's Assistant, a wanna be.

Anything that "enhances" your body's performance is considered a "Performance Enhancer" hence the term "Performance Enhancer."

Not following your crticism? Rubio is alleging that Chavez may have used something, and since the post-fight drug testing was 'accidently' not done, it's a fair accusation. Objectively it does call into question the legitamacy of the victory.

And yeah, if he took a diuretic it would be PRIOR to the test, and therefore he would test positive and recieve a NC.

Still haven't been on here enough to gather what happened.. I know about the DUI and weight difference on fight night.. But Chavez left the arena before there were any post fight drug tests administered, and Rubio is complaining? Or was there no post fight drug test period, and Rubio and people are questioning why?

It's in effect a "performance enhancer" since it allows a fighter to me much heavier than he should be, come fight night.

Combine that with Jr's ugly in-style fighting, which makes his extra weight a much larger factor, and there is no other word except "Cheat."

If Chavez took diuretics to help him rid himself of water weight, that actually plays against him and helps Rubio.

However, I dont agree with Chavez walking and being allowed to pass on a post fight drug test.
The Texas commision along with WBC president Jose Sulaiman have alot of explaining to do.

If Chavez is being allowed to walk free without a drug test, I'm certain others have been allowed to do the same and its just plain wrong.

Some of you guys in your hate are hurling stones at the wrong guy.

There is something not right with the Texas commision here. Boxing journalist should be on top of this and give light to this story and embarrass the powers that be that have allowed for this to happen.

Actually Jr was just as heavy in this title winning effort.
180 lbs is actually what his body frame is comfortable with.

Taking diuretics to drop weight does not enhance your performance, it hinders it.
Diuretics however on the banned list for two reasons.

    1. To protect the fighters from themselves so they dont make it a plan to use an unsafe practice to rid themselves of so much water weight before a weighin.

    and

    2. Diuretics have also been used to mask PED use.
I dont think this is the case with Chavez Jr., as we know for a fact he has had weight issues, but one never really knows for sure.

So the guy uses drugs to drop weight and compete in a weight division he otherwise could not make, thereby giving himself physical advantages on fight night and he still avoids the true champion?

    What a douche.
