Martinez has made it obvious over the last few months that he is looking for the big money fight. I don't think Geale would be anywhere on Sergio's radar at this time.

Sox, Grange old school boxing confirmed offers from both sturm and Martinez last year. Shaw turned both down, saying Geale was not ready, maybe in a few years.

How do u twist that to Geale is being ducked?
    Geale did the ducking!
Now Geale needs to beat Adama, and try and get one of these fights, maybe vs golovkin or pirog.
I don't think Geale wins any of those fights though tbh

When Geale goes to the USA and they will treat him with respect,Mundine goes to the USA and they treat him with contempt.!!!! theres the difference.!!!!

@sox, TBH, I think Geale can beat sturm, and that is a fight I would like to see him take next. I don't think he can beat sergio, and happy for him to fight maybe Sturm, then Soliman then Chavez Jr. They should all be winnable.
Then (year and a half down the track) it would be time to really step up, would like to see unification with Golovkin, or by then Sergio (old sergio by then, good resume builder).

    Geale bores me to tears.

Talks going to do this and that, next best thing since sliced bread.

Fights in tassie so he can get two heads for one seat

He fights in Tasmania because he sells the joint out. His crowd for the Albert fight was the biggest I'd seen in Aussie Boxing.

Sergio was making 1.5 mill fighting dzinziruk and barker. Whether that hbo money has dried up under a new head, wait and see.

Geale would definitely be on his radar. He was before, why wouldnt he now? Maravilla is pimping for a bigger name ( floyd) but isnt in the picture. He isnt getting any younger and needs to fight.

Agree, by the time he fights Macklin he will be 37. I just think Geale won't generate the kind of money Martinez is looking for at this time.
Maybe if Geale goes to the states and proves a drawcard.
1.2 to 1.5 mill per fight for the best middleweight in the world is atrocious considering what other elite fighters are being paid, so i can see why he is trying to land a name.
