Mundine V Green II ?

First thing with this is Green (like Geale) playsd the old Mundine is too scared card talking about courage.

Lets get one thing straight, Mundine gave him a schooling (and beat Geale too, blah blah robbed, Mundine won), so why would Mundine be scared of fights like this?

Its not like Mundine has not fought them before and won.

Mundine-Green II will happen after Mundine tries to cash out and have a go in the US. They can fight at 175lb - Green can make that and the jump up for Mundine is as much for Green coming down. Green can cut the dannyweight stuff, 175 is fair.

As for Geale he needs to lift his profile and get real on the cash side of things. In Australia the title does not mean much, just as much as the IBO fight they had before. And love or hate Mundine brings the crowd in and makes this fight what it is. So therefore should be 60/40 to Mundine at least. Its not like Mundine needs the money but its about principle.

Now once again Im not trying to defend Mundine. Im just telling it like it is. Of course all the Mundine haters, and Geale nut swingers will jump all over it.

 

To me Mundine-Green in 2012 would be pointless as Green is now a genuine 180 - 185 lbs fighter while Mundine has been fighting at both 154 and 160 for years now.

At what weight would you have this fight ? If it's at 175 or above thats unfair to Mundine and anything too far under would to too hard on Green.

They both fought in their prime and the better boxer won clearly. There was never any point to a rematch imo. I don't want to see it.

If Mundine is to rematch anyone in the future it should be Geale imo at 160.

 

Yeah i agree he should be only rematching Geale..But wont happen as Mundine didnt want it when geale did...And now geale is looking elsewhere for bigger fights.

Firstly, yes, Mandy did school Green, no one denies this, it was a woopin.
Secondly, Mandy VS Geale was a very close fight which plenty saw as Geale winning, so don't bull**** about Mandy winning as it was a hollow victory from 2 delusional judges. :deal

Thirdly, Mandy is scared of both. Prove that he ain't.
He knocked back fights with both, one was an ordered rematch.

Lastly, the reason why Mandy is scared of fights like this is because he isn't the fighter he was 5 years ago. It's that simple.

Sox do you think it would have been fair, green being 85kg and mundine being a middleweight or having to put on 10kg just to fight Green .

Shouldnt the rematch be at the same weight to make it truly fair? or some where inbetween there divisions..80kg catchweight . Also the money wasn't ok for mundine if green truly wanted the fight he should have offerd 60/40 and cut out all the **** about donating to black fellas.

But greeny would have had non of that, he wanted a unfair advantage , half the money and he gave him 2 days to reply?

I'm not exactly clear on the details of any of the offers, but I do know they've ****ed each other around somewhat.

To answer your question though, yes, both fighters should meet 1/2 way or thereabouts.
Green has fought plenty at SMW, and Mandy has even fought at LHW, though plenty at SMW.
I would imagine LHW would be more than fine for both of them.

I do believe Mandy is scared of Green, in the sense he knows he can't win.
Yes Mandy bashed Green last time, however Mandy isn't the fighter he was back then, and whilst Green is still as robotic as ever, I think he could hold off Mandy long enough to catch him.
Put it this way, if Garth can do it, Green will murder him.

I don't believe it will - again, he knows he can't beat Geale.

 

I think its hard to tell because he has been starving himself for years now to make the lower weight (old weight drained), Mundine would bash Green @ middleweight IMO . Im looking fwd to see how sam handles garth.

 

True enough, the lower weights haven't done him any favours, however with his ****ed eye, ****ed hip, and speed loss, I don't think adding weight will help him now.
He should have began his career at the lower weights and worked his way up as is the norm.

There's no way Green could get near MW today, and maybe never could. He's a big framed boy. So I guess Mandy would beat him at MW, because Green would be severely weight drained, dehydrated, and weak.

Sam and Garth will be alright, I know many aren't interested, but It will be a good messy scrap.
My money is on Sammy.

People seem to forget who lured Green out of retirement in the first place.

 

Mate I just used the middleweight thing because Garth beat Mundine @ middle... Im sure we will see how he goes at the heavier weight soon.
