Your Scorecard for Cotto - Grand-master Clottey

Cotto 114-113.. I was at MSG for that fight live and seen it at least twice after. Clottey fought well, but the knockdown was the difference. Would love to see a rematch.

 

It was a close fight. I thought Clottey won it. If it weren't for Boxing politics, Clottey could've won it. Clottey didn't finished the last two rounds strong. At the end of the day, Cotto is/was the popular fighter, the MSG was a pro-Cotto crowd, ect. There was no way Clottey was going to win this fight other than by KO/TKO.

 

Exactly. Plus they wanted to make a big Pac vs Cotto fight.

They were never going to give it to Clottey.

I know what I saw. Clottey won the fight . Watch Cottos face and body language before and after the verdict is read out. He KNOWS he lost that ****

 

Clottey outlanded Cotto in total punches landed and in power punches landed.

He outthrew and outlanded Cotto in that fight. Plus he was the agressor the last six rounds. Can't understand how the **** someone could come out their ass and say Clottey didn't do enough. Clottey beat his ass and got robbed plain and simple.


But I understand. Cotto is one of these fighters that everyone loves because he's supposed to have some huge heart. Whatever. He didn't deserve that fight.

 

I thought Clottey won by a round or two. But Cotto did show the heart of a warrior in that fight. I don't think anyone beats Clottey at 154.

No, he did not. Clottey threw 622 punches, and Cotto threw 723. Cotto threw 101 more punches. Clottey did outlanded Cotto in total punches connect and in power punches connect though.

 

Fine. So based on that he should have won! He hit cotto more times than he was hit back.

So how the **** do you lose a fight like that?

 

The difference in 43 punches landed is minimal in the span of 12 rounds. It was close but far from the clear cut W ya'll making it out to be.

114-113 both times i've watched it, rounds won by either fighter wasn't the closest, meaning not that hard to score

 

this isn't amateur boxing, 10 point must system isn't just about punches landed

 

Okay so do you still lose when you not only when you out land the guy but when he is running for his life the last 3 rounds
